I had a c-section for my first delivery. I never even had a single real contraction as the baby was breech and it was a planned c-section. This time I will attempt a vbac. I took a prenatal class last pregnancy, but I still feel like I have absolutely no idea what I am in for. Help!!

Try not to panic too much, you have time to prepare still (as much as you can anyway). How do you want to approach birth? Epidural? Hypnobirthing? Water birth etc. Try not to put too much stock in this because as you know things change so quick but there's no harm in having an idea of what you want and being clued up.

If you sort your hospital bags early you'll feel better, choose music you want to play during labour, snacks etc get a tens machine to help with the early stages of labour, a tennis ball helps with back pain(use it to put pressure on your back), a birthing/gym ball will help get baby into position and bring them down.

Don't worry about pooing, a lot of women don't (I didn't). Yes labour hurts but once it's over the pain is gone. Recovery is much faster than a c-section. If you tear during labour you won't feel it (unless they give you an episiotomy with no anaesthesia).

I could go on but go into it with a very open mind. It will probably be better than you think. I was terrified of labour but once it started it went away as I had to focus as what was going on at the time. Labour is very 'in the moment'. I barely remember the hours passing by.
