Accidentally ate raw biscuit dough :(

So I was frying up some biscuits and making doughnuts for OH. Well when I bit in to two of them in turned out that they were still doughy in the middle. Like gooey doughy.

Now I'm a little worried about it since I've head raw dough is a no no. Could I have hurt baby?

No, not unless you ate a whole batch of it like those addicted to raw cookie dough like me! I used to eat that stuff straight out of the package...yikes it's only a miracle I did not lose my figure lol! I make bread at home, and things like calzones and stuff so have gotten raw dough on my fingers before and ate little bits of it because it's tasty. Also I was naughty once and made sopapilla's and the raw dough smelled so good and sweet I had a tiny taste before frying them up...Have had a perfectly healthy baby so far!

Honestly, I wouldn't be super worried, but if you feel concerned just call midwife and double check, always safe to check any concerns.

In saying that I have gotten so over the can't eat this can't eat that! I have eaten pepperoni but only on a pizza and only when it was steaming hot as if it is steaming hot there is practically zero chance of listeria. I've also given in to soft serve twice and I have had cream cheese when it was straight out of fridge! Once I got the 30 weeks I relaxed a bit with all the food precautions - although I've had runny eggs since first pregnant as I hate hard boiled eggs lol Only thing I won't touch is cold deli meats (processed ones like devon, cold salami, processed ham) and pluto pups.

I honestly think you will be fine, even if you do get an upset tummy it would have to be super bad to make you go into pre-term labour. But again, always check with midwife or Dr if you are concerned, better to be safe

I wouldn't worry plus they have been heated up they just didn't cook properly all way through. Since getting to 30 weeks I've given up being do careful. I've had desserts which contain egg not pasterised and had mcflurrys. Baby will be fine

The only reason it's a no no is because of the raw egg in it, which has a chance of containing salmonella. I believe however, that all chickens in England are treated which gives only a very very small chance of getting ill. I wouldn't worry =)

I'm sure you'll be fine too! The risks of actually getting food poisoning are sooo low. I ate raw fish sushi not too long ago! I've been craving it for months and it was damn good

the only thing ive got stuck in my head after reading this thread is what on earth are fried biscuits the biscuits i buy are crunchy in packets and i dip them in my tea or coffee lol there baked not fried :-/
