Hay Girls,

Just wondering has anyone tried it when ttc?

I'm not a huge fan of needles but i have heard good things about it :)

Not really, however I researched online, and it gives good reviews! I want to try, but as DH and I have a tight budget this month, I want to try next month!

As I am in Ecuador, I dont know if an accupuncture specialist is qualified to boost fertility, but at least, I wanted to get treated my stress and anxiety, which has been messing with my cycles!
My dad says he got it for a knee pain, and he cured it in 1 session (he had a surgery there) and that it really helped him!

Once I go, Ill tell you how it goes!

Fab thanks Hun, think I might give it ago :)

sure, I mean, why not?? Everything counts!! good luck! :hugs:

I've been doing acupuncture for fertility/hormonal imbalance issues for a couple months now. I also combine it with chinese herbs. I really like it so far. It has helped some hormonal issues, but it's a process that takes time. I will continue to do it and hope it helps me get pregnant. I have secondary infertility that I'm hoping it will fix since no tests can find any problems.

GL to you!!

After months and months with either heartbreak or no success, I conceived DS after my first month of accu/chinese herbs. This was after being told I only had a 0.002% chance of conceiving naturally and that I HAD to have IVF. I truly believe it works!
This time round I thought I would just try without for a while but now on cycle 8 I have gone back to the accu. Had my first treatment today! :happydance:
I would really recommend it. From personal experience though I find the little chinese shops and do the traditional medicine give better accu than the people who work from home. Just my opinion.

Awesome! *does a dance* I just wish that in Ecuador I can find these chinese herbs... in north america, europe, and australia y so much easier! You find everything!

Thanks for sharing your story! :flower:

I have just started acupuncture as well as fertile and fertilaid, DHEA and coenzyme Q10. We are unexplained but because nothing has worked so far my RE says maybe it is an egg quality issue - hence the DHEA and coq10. He said to take those supplements for 3 months and then we will look into IVF. I decided that while I am not going to the fertility clinic I will do acupuncture twice a week and see if it works.

best of luck girls :) theres a little chinese herb place in a shopping centre not far from me so think i will pop in there :D

keep us posted on how it goes :D

Been for my 2nd accu session now and am still taking the Chinese meds and have noticed a big difference! MUCH more energy, my depression has lifted and somethings making me want to DTD all the time (even after ov!) It's like I can't stop thinking about it. Amazing since I've suffered from low sex drive all my life.

I still havent booked a session yet, get my blood results tomorrow so might book them after that :D

sounds promising! what kind of chinese medication is this? Maybe Im lucky enough to find it!

It's these little black balls, you take 8 of them 3 times a day. I have two kinds:

Nuan Gong Yun Zi Wan (which is apparently for fertility and to warm the uterus!) The accu said I have a cold in my uterus <---:haha:
Xiao Yao Wan aka "Happy Wanderer"/Relaxx for energy boosting/anti-depressant/general wellbeing.

Think he might suggest different things depending on your condition though. He took my pulses (yes, pulses PLURAL...I have SIX pulses apparently ) and looked at my tongue as well as asking about my cycle/periods etc.

I'm 4dpo now and soooo impatient to test! You would think after 3 years in this game I would have chilled by now! I intend to test at 8dpo on Saturday so I could tell him when I went for accu. I know it's really early but I just wanted to give it a try as that is when I got my BFP with DS.

ETA: pola17, I just noticed you are also 4dpo. When are you testing?

:hi: I expect to wait until the 2ww is over! But yesterday I went to the ER because I was having a horrible cramp that I couldnt even breathe... they checked if it was appendicitis (sp?), or kidney stones.. nothing... today I got an ultrasound, and it was "inconclusive"... tomorrow I have to pick up the results... the woman asked me if I had taken a pregnancy test, I said no...

When I asked why she was not giving me the results now, she said that she has "to study an image"... she showed it to me quickly and refusef to tell me the options of what it would be... but she said "it looks like something typical you get if you have PCOS"... It didnt looked like an ultrasound from someone pregnant, but there was a black circle and inside a white ring but the "ring" was on top but inside the dark circle?? More cysts? ectopic pregnancy?? Im always expecting the worst!! :(

goodluck with the results Pola :hugs:

so i have found a accupuncture place not far from me which has been linked to the Zita West clinic so i've emailed the lady - not sure how much she'll charge but thought it was worth seeing - how much are you girls paying if you dont mind me asking :D

So, to update on what I read, the ultrasound image was from my right ovary! Thank God it is not an ectopic, but looks like its mittelschmerz! Still in pain, tho!! :o

Glad to hear everything was ok pola. :hugs:

sjbno1...I pay £21 for each accu session and £10 for each week of chinese herbs. I get that rate by buying 4 treatments in advance - otherwise it would be £28 and £16.
I think I get really good value because I have paid anywhere between £30 and £95 for a single treament before!!!!!!!! I find that the actual little chinese shops you often find in town centres to be much better value and, IMO, give better treatment. The bloke that charged me £95 is called Dr Monk and came with all sorts of fancy accreditations on his website but he was extremely rude and gave very incomplete treatment if you ask me.

My last session on Saturday was good. The guy was busy with another customer so I lay there for 35 minutes instead of the usual 15! You can't have too much but I felt really exhausted afterwards.
Unfortunately though I am now 10dpo and still getting :bfn:. I usually only have a 10 day LP so it's pretty much end of the road for me. :nope: He did say it can take up to 3 months so I am going to be unusually patient.

Thank you! .hugs: Im still in pain, tho! Once DH and I get our paychecks, I want to go to get some sessions to see if maybe I can ease this pain!

Eek Pola hope the pain goes quickly :hugs: can you take anything for it?

Thanks 2016 :) I rung up the local accupuncture place and they charge £40 a session - on her website she claims to have done training with Zita West so i will see what she says tomorrow and let you know :) They seemed really nice on the phone :)

Yes! I can take ibuprofen! It doesnt take it off totally, but it helps! :)
