We had our renewal through and it asks for exact earnings for 2011-12 & 2012-13.

Now for me that should be no problem, but, for OH it is!

In that time has has changed jobs 3 times and been on JSA, and also had an issue where one employer was giving us tax credits but not deducting the money from his wages and we had to pay them back.

Now, he has NO P60 for this year due to his employer before this one not sending his P60 - or they sent it to our old address (he has asked 3 times!) but he can call them and get that. He doesn't have one for jobs 1 or 2. And how do we factor JSA into it?

We also cannot find his P60 for the 2011-12 year and employer #1 will not contact him back regarding this - they are the ones that messed up the vouchers.

The guy on the tax credits helpline said to go through bank statements and old payslips and try and add it up as accurately as possible........but a lot got lost in the move and with him having to repay the money they didn't take for the vouchers they gave us, it kinda gets confusing.

So basically.................I am worried that if we cannot give them exact amounts they will not renew our tax credits. Has anyone had this??

I'm really worried as without tax credits, we are before food -£200 a month come September! :(

Just give them a beat guess sweetie - if you knew roughly how much he was bringing in then give them that. If not then get copy bank statements (or if you bank online just look it up) and ad it from there - just do your best to be as accurate as possible x

Ps a P60 is issued once a year and will have all the income attributed to that person in that year from however many jobs. It's the P45 you take from job to job x

If you can find his March payslip of those years they have the full income and mine included my previous job. If you contact the job centre they provide something like a P45 for JSA. Otherwise, I would go to the bank, ask for a print out of bank statements dating back to 2011, they can do this but you'll probably have to go back to pick them up, and work out how much you were paid and how much you gave back. We learned this lesson the hard way last year when tax credits wanted to account for every invoice/receipt for childcare, from now on I keep EVERYTHING.
