Rainforest play gym is a godsend for me. We got it for Lucas when he was 1 month old, but he really started to enjoy it around 3 month old and now at 5,5 month I have 20 min in the morning for shower and about half an hour in the afternoon free time! Yay! Worth every penny
We also have a bouncer, but it was given to us and very basic with no toys and he hates vibration, I thought of getting him swing, but too late as he is almost 6 month

So now I am thinking what else could I get, so he could enterntain himself downstairs while I cook etc and something he could use till about a year..
Jumperoo? He does not bare the weight on his legs, so don't think he will jump
Walker? To soon
Inflammable swing pool with loads of balls - he can't sit properly yet

I don't want to spoil him and fill our house with endless toys/gadgets, so need to think before buying :coffee:

What do you have for your LO and what you think was the best buy and what waste of money?!

My girl loves her jumperoo and will happily spend the recommended 15-30 mins in each day and has done since about 5 months but has alwasys had strong legs. I think it was one of our best investments as it actually made her legs stronger and her love for it changes in the parts of it she likes to play with. She also has a walker and has used that since about 6 months too....but personally I think while the toys on the front are brilliant, the walker itself is limited by empty floor space etc....I'd go for either jumperoo or exercauser! Even if she can't use it just yet she will and most babies seem to LOVE it....just go on youtube and search jumperoo for proof! :-)

Lol I have all those things minus the walker which I'm not getting. My lo plays on his gym still, with lamaze toys, the Jumperoo and will sit in the swing for a bit. Also has a ball pit but he can't quite sit yet so it's not out.
Also have lots if board books, he'll turn the pages or chew then lol when we read them.
Flat does look a bit stuffed with toys :-\

I HIGHLY recommend the Infantino Pop & Swap Gym. All the toys can be swapped out, it plays music and lights, and the toy part can be removed and put into a crib/cot. I currently use it with the toy facing straight down and put the babies under it to play like a regular play gym/mat, but my LOs also have reflux so can't lay down for a while after eating, so I also change the angle of the toy and put it over the bouncy chair so they can play while sitting.

That's interesting, never thought about that. Will check it out in the shops

We have an entertainer thing (like a jumeproo, but doesn't bounce). LO has been in it from about 4 months, if she is in the right mood, will happily sit in it for half an hour and play. She has a walker, but not tried her in it yet, as she is only just 6 months.

She has a doughnut ring, which is great for when they first start to sit, as they can't topple and hurt themselves.

Even at 6 months, she still goes on her fisher price rainforest playmat. But she rolls alot, so often rolls away from it.

The rainforest play mat is amazing!! :) best baby buy we had! Little guy is almost 3 months and very strong so I just ordered the rainforest jumperoo and will see how it goes in a few weeks. I think he is going to love it once he is strong enough for it.
