Just wondering what kind of experiences people had with acupuncture and/or aromatherapy. Is it worth it? Does it help at all?

I did acupuncture with my IVF. I guess I will never really know if it helped or not. But, I loved it. I felt much more relaxed. I wish I could still be going but can't sit still long enough without having to pee to make it through a session. It also helped helped a TON with medication side effects. I didn't have hardly any side effects at all!

Thanks, vineyard! I'm thinking about trying it since I can't get in to see the OBGYN until December 1. I'll ask my naturopath about it this afternoon as well.

I'm just going in about 15 minutes to an all over aromatherapy body massage, she uses specific oils tailored to your consultation. I don't know if it helped, i'll find out in the next few days if the witch comes or not. But, it did totally chill me out the last time which helped my mind think everything was going to be ok despite going through a stressful period. The minds so powerfull aswell!

I have loved acupuncture so far. It is relaxing and I feel like I have some control over my cycles. My FS highly recommends acupuncture too!

I've got my first acupuncture appt booked for next week.
Being a nerd I've been looking into the research regarding acupuncture - turns out, with IVF etc at least, there is a significant benefit with using acupuncture in terms of pregnancy and birth of bubs. I'm keen to give it a go - and hoping it helps us keep a sticky bub

Hi,
I've been going to acupuncture for about 3 months while ttc. It's hard to say if it's having an impact on my cycle or my chances of conceiving, but I do like it. One of the great things about it is that if you're working with an acupuncturist who knows about fertility, they are another resource for you in this crazy process- mine looked at my bbt charts (something the doctors never do), and talked to me about things like nutrition, stress, and really tried to tailor her treatment to my specific situation. A far cry from the RE doctors who operate like a factory. From what I've read, acupuncture does promote blood flow to the right places, so it really does boost fertility.

I was just reading up on the literature on acup****ure and fertility.
For those doing IVF/ICSI, acupuncture increases pregnancy rates by ~65%, so pretty impressive. I'm a sceptic, but willing to give it a go & hoping for the best. At least nowhere near as invasive as other fertility treatments & hopefully relaxing too.
