hi - has anybody tried this?

i am currently have had 1 session and is taking the herbs on a daily basis

i would love to hear your experiences!

Yes! I did it the last 6 weeks and I am convinced it is what gave me the strongest ovulation I have had in a year. Unfortunately, I was out of town so BD timing was off. But, I am definitely going back next month!

Good luck and let us know how it goes. xx

hi :) yes, i have been going for acupuncture and taking herbs for adrenal gland support and PCOS for 8 months now. i have never felt better. my pcos is improving, however i have decided to take metformin as well, even tho my acupuncturist wasn't happy about it but in my opinion you get better result when combine eastern and western medicines together. good luck and let me know if you have any other questions. :)

Hi!
I'm doing acupuncture and herbs for 4 weeks now and after 2.5 years of ttc, I think for the first time I experienced chemical pregnancy (never been pregnant or had miscarriage before). So I think things are starting to change to better. Makes me very relaxed and brought the joy of BD back (2.5 years of ttc creates a lot of stress) :))
He pinpointed my problems that the "modern" doctors seemed to think as unimportant (as follicles not developed fully to 2 cm => immature eggs; cold feet and hands, clots in period => lack of blood in ovaries and uterus).
So he diagnosed me kidney yang deficiency. After 4 weeks I can tell that my feet and hands are not cold anymore and I have more blood flow everywhere in my body (especially uterus).

how many times have you recieved treament then over the 4 weeks?

i am experiencing feeling like i am about to AF but only on CD16! only after 1 session!

I had 4 treatments (1 per week).
If you experience AF like symptoms on CD16 could that be ovulation? Sometimes ovulation symptoms are like AF.
To me sounds good, feeling something is good.
When he put the needles the first time on my belly, he asked me if I felt anything. When I told him that I didn't feel anything- he said "no pain, no good".

Hiya, I posted a section in 'success stories' about acupuncture and herbs. I'm currently expecting and I'm sure they helped me. We concieved after nearly 2 years ttc the month after I started acu and herbs. Good luck ladies xx

I started acupuncture last Sunday, I was told that I have a lot of stress inside. my first session she also put needles in above my ankles and toes and 1 on my hair line, around my belly button with some electric through them. I had a bit of brown spotting the next day on CD9. Look forward to my next session. I do not take herbs as I am on a lot of vitamins/supplements did not want to mix them up but may start herbs from the next cycle.

I also wonder if the CD16 symptoms you had were ovulation? My O was pushed back by a week and my acupuncturist did tell me that acupuncture can change the cycles in different ways. So, I'd think any sort of change is probably normal and possibly a good sign.

I also went once a week. AF still hasn't come, so I haven't been back in about ten days or so. But once she's here I'll be going back once a week again. It was so relaxing -- I am looking forward to it again!

Hi All,

Thanks for all your posts - good to know other people are going through the same!

Well just as an update i am still having ovulation/AF pains! these remain daily and variery in strengh - i am also suffering from back pain today so as you say it must be doing something!

I have to say that i still am struggling drinking the herbs! lol

hi tried to find your success story - what title is it under?

Yeah, the herbs aren't so great, but I just try not to think about it. LOL

Well, I'll be watching this space to see if there are any new developments. I'll also let you ladies know how my next month of acupuncture goes. Excited, especially after RKW's good news!

had my second acu session today and also got some herbs for a week

had my second acu session today and also got some herbs for a week

Hi i had my second session today - one of the first things he asked me was had i had any stomack ache or back ache (of which i had both) i told him about the ovulation type twinges and he said it my body "flushing" out all the stagnation - so guess there will be no change of BFP this month :dohh:
i just hope and pray it works as at £65 a week its a bit expensive!

acu+herbs for me and hubby comes very expensive, but I have tried everything else. I am just giving chinese medicine a chance before going for IVF (which is even more expensive).

she also gives me cupping supposed to take away dampness and toxins.

i got a bit of bleeding from one of the needles but she said it was nothing to worry about. She also confirmed that clots is a sign of bad circulation but hopefully acu will help with that.

I was a bit concerned that put needles in my belly and put electrics through them even though I have ovulated so potentially (though unlikely) I can be or about to become pregnant. But I decided to have faith that she knows what she is doing.

I've had two cycles of acupuncture and I really love it! It has definitely had a positive effect on my cycles. I used to have a slow BBT rise after ov, which my acupuncturist indicated was a sign of a cold uterus. Now I have a healthy jump in BBT after ov, so I'm much happier. Acunpuncture has also helped reduced my stress and helped with clots in AF. For the first time ever I've had a big temp dip today (10 dpo) which I'm praying is an implantation dip. :) I pay £33 per 45 min session.

My second acupuncture appointment is this afternoon. She also recommended taking vitex from cd1 until i am sure that i ovulated. She told me that she thought my issue was a hormonal imbalance and that acupuncture can definitely help to fix it.

I'm optimistic, but trying not to put too much into it. I've been trying for so long that I'm pretty much jaded about every ttc 'cure' at this point ;)
