I am due to have a section on the 10th. I really want to breastfeed my little one, so any helpful hints for how to cope after a section would be greatly appreciated!

Have had 4 sections, always found it easier to feed lying on the bed. Is this the first baby you will be bf

Yup, this is my first! I am just hoping everything will work okay...I am a bit worried cause I have had no leakage of any sort so with out the hormones from delivery I worry about if my supply will come in okay.

I had skin to skin as soon as possible after delivery. The midwife asked if i wanted this before i went to operating room. They put the baby up inside the gown, on my chest whilst i was in recovery. Mine had a suckle quite early on.
I never had a problem with feeding/ plenty of milk. ( think its around day2/3 that i turned into Dolly Parton).
Be sure that your baby is latched on properly. Midwife should be happy to check this...keep asking questions if you are not sure.. When you are home you can ask on here!
Good luck

Even with the section they of course take the placenta so those hormones will be released just like with a vaginal birth :) I had no leaking at all with my first either, but right after birth had TONS of colostrum. Then with my 2nd and 3rd I leaked...and same result at birth. For me laying in bed was good, but football hold even better while in the hospital bed. I would sit it up as much as I could handle then put a pillow on my side and lay him on that and bring him to my breast...it worked well because he didn't lay across my belly and wasn't able to kick it or anythig like laying next to him. I would just let them know you plan to nurse, not to give formula and tell them that as soon as it's possible you want to be able to nurse. It really shouldn't effect you being able to nurse. I had vaginal with my first, csection with my second and vbac with my 3rd and in the end it was all the same, only thing that varied was how fast I got to nurse. But I was still able to nurse my 2nd until 11mo, having the section didn't effect anything else :)

I foun that lots of pillows helped me get in a comfortable position, and I would keep Brenn in a position that as more straight across my body then at an angle, or in the football hold position. Just ask that your LO be brought to you ASAP and make sure everone there knows you want to BF.
