Advice from a Mother

i told my mum the day after taking a test
and tbh i was surprised at her reaction ...
i did actually think she was going to kill me
or chop of my oh manly parts, but she didn't!
i was 18 at the time as well ...
she's been fantastic the whole way through
and i can tell shes excited to see this grandchild
a little more than the one that lives 100 miles away
the best thing i did was tell her ....
she's been cracking, she had her first when she was
17 and then another at 18 so she knows what shes on about!
before i was pregnant we fought all the time
i moved out when i was 16 because we didn't
get along, now we're like best friends, we
have something in common and i thinks secretly she's
glad to have something we can both share
my fathers disabled and has the memory or a goldfish
he does know but always forgets, but i know once
bubbys in his arms he'll be a happy grandaddy!!

I told my mum a week after i found out...i was terrified but it was the best thing i did. she has been really supportful nd i know she will love baby 110% :D

I got Pregnant with my son (who is now 7) when I was only fourteen, my mom was the first person that I told, and it was the best thing I did. Yeah she freaked out but after she got used to it she was pretty much my best friend through everything.

I was 15 wheen I got pregnant, I think you're advice is absolutely on the button, honesty is the best policy

I'm not a teenager, but that's such a great post Mommyof7. I've had friends get pregnant when they were in their teens, and I think that's the best advise anyone can give young moms to be.
