Hi girls,
Just a quick question to ask any advice or tips from ladies who have had to try Clomid?

A brief history of my story so far.....

Always had bad AF's, had a Lap for suspected Endo in Sept 06, which thank god was all clear.
I'm almost 34 and have been TTC our 1st for 10 months.
Recently my cycles have gone awol, length's varying dramatically, mid cycle bleeding etc...
The first 8 cycles were ok and between 28-32 days!!!

Anyway, GP has sent my OH for semen analysis and I've had my CD3 bloods and have to have CD21 too obviously.

It's looking quite likely that they'll try me on Clomid and I just wanted to hear any of you girls opinions and experiences of it?
Any replies will be greatly appreciated!!

And good luck to all of us TTC girlies xxx

I won't x-post my answer, but I did respond to your thread in TTC. Good luck, hunni!

I'm on my 5th round of clomid .. I did 3 cycles back to back, then a 2 month break, the another cycle, then 2 months off and now I'm on this cycle .. all 50mg

Generally its taken cd 2-6 or 3-7

I then usually O by cd18 at the latest, I get cramping around O time, and again when AF is due, my AF has been a little heavier when on clomid as well
Its not worked for me so far obv but it does make me O, did help my LP and brought O forward as well

Hope the Dr's can help you, they might suggest Metformin as well to bring on O and create a more balanced cycle for you

I was given Clomid in April 08, which actually worked first round and we had our Daughter in Jan 09, now 8months.
I took it just before bed, 50MG cd2 - cd6. Taking at bedtime reduced the risks i was told of getting headaches which is quite common.

I have PCOS and been under a consultant for years so they gave me Clomid after 4months of naturally trying as i had had bloods and no sign of ovulating even though i had bloods taken every 4days for 2months.

I had now problems on it, my cycle was usually @ 42days and on clomid at the cd21 i had bloods and it showed i'd ovulated which was rare for that to happen on that day prior.
So for me clomid kicked my cycle into a 28day one, i had bleeding at 27 but was brown and spotting, never had that before in my years of cycles. So i called GP she advised could be implantation. And she was right, waited til cycle day 32 to test.

I stopped both DH and I on anything naughty, no alcohol, no caffeine and made him take Zinc to boost his boys hee hee.

So unsure if it was the clomid, clomid and the stopping everything that made us conceive Amber. But either way it worked.

Now after having Amber my cycle has pretty much returned to the 42days!

Good luck honey.

I have just started it and am full of PMA for it. I took at bedtime also, but the only side effect I have had is delirious happiness/joyfullness, which seems to also be a side effect. I was maybe lacking in cm for a few days but I am scoffing robitussin and that seems to have done the trick.......

I think I ov early, but cant be sure. One opk was +ve the other negative. Good luck hun XXXXX
