Hey, guys -

have seen in a few trimeter threads re: clothes. In UK and Ireland, take a look at Penney's/Primark as many ponchos and big, comfy cardigans seem to be available. Also, Old Navy, a US company (on-line) does some really great maternity knits for a reasonable price and will ship to UK and Ireland. Have seen some good things (non-maternity) at Tesco's as well -- if in Dublin, the big Tesco in Balbriggan has loads of clothes.

best wishes

Hey Sabrina

I have some actually maternity trousers etc because I felt sweatpants didn't do the job right but when it comes to tops I just get things that give me the room to grow. I have found LOADS of tops for $3/$5 in TJMaxx here and I'm sure you could get other tops too.

Just remember that they need that growing room!

:)

Asda have some long cardies in which my standard size still looks fine and I'm measuring 42 weeks so you would get plenty of wear out of those I team mine with a long line vest and scarf which seems to look decent!

I did that with my first pregnancy, but beware...some things don't stretch back and you're left wondering...why is this waist so big....

i actually dont have too many maternity tops....many of the camisoles are longer, and have cute lace, so i always just wear one under my regular shirt. Some shirts dont fit after about 28 weeks, but the "in-style" seems to be a little "hippish", and a lot of the junior tops are longer anyways, so it def. can work for pregnancy! pants, however, yeah, I HAVE to use maternity pants, otherwise, it would be bad lol

I guess this all depends on what your style is and what you want to wear to be comfortable. I went to Primark and bought several jumper dresses and some leggings (or wooly tights) - all one to two sizes too big so can accomodate the bump. I also got a cardigan and i agree they are fab - i'll get some more when there's more wintery stuff in the shops. So far so good! I expect all the clothes will be way too big for me to wear at some point but after birth in the dead of winter im sure i'll be very comfy indeed and still feel i look ok. After that? On to the pre pg diet! :haha:
