I'm wanting to wean my 6 month old son, going to start him on puréed veg as not wanting to do blw , would It be best doing it at lunch or dinner?and will it just b a few mouthfuls aft bottle?

You can do breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Breakfast or lunch is better until you know how your baby reacts- then there's more time for their system to sort itself out before bed.

You should start with a small amount, ~a tsp, at each serving and work your way up. Some people start with baby cereal mixed with formula/breastmilk, since it's with formula/breastmilk the taste should be familiar and easier for your baby to realize this is for eating. My kid never went for it, though. Only introduce one new food every 4 days so that way if your kid has any intolerances/allergies, you'll know exactly what the problem is.

I think just do whatever meal is likely to be the most relaxed and easiest for you. We started with lunch (did BLW, but still it's the same) just because that's been I had the most time. Mornings were too rushed and by dinner time she was often getting too tired and grumpy to be interested in food. You might find something else works for you. And yes, I always offered solids after a milk feed (usually about an hour after) in the beginning.

As for the amounts, just offer whatever and see what he eats. As long as they are getting plenty of milk in whatever form, the amounts don't matter that much at the moment. Some babies eat huge amounts right away. Some just graze a bit. But it's fine either way.
