To cut a long story short, my OH has children by a previous relationship and has always told me from the start that he was never sure about having anymore children. If children did come along, he always said they would be a gift from the stars and he would worship them all.

Me on the other hand, have always wanted children from the start. After eight long years, he finally agreed that we could try for a baby.

We are now being tested and I have booked OH an appointment with the docs. If I did not book this, he would never have booked one. He is a typical male (sorry any men reading) and puts things off. He did get a bit stroppy last night about me doing this for him and made some comment about me organising his life! I apologised to him last night so things have settled down.

However, I want to support him through his testing and am not sure where to start.

He has asked me what the doctors will be asking him on Thursday - I have no idea.

Can anyone enlighten me please.

He is such a super star and was my rock through my miscarriages and I want to be supportive when he needs me xx

H there, my DH went for tests, for which we are waiting the results. He was asked how long we had been ttc. He told them 18 months when it is quite a bit less (Bless him, just feels like that). The doc checked his parts over..which we could only laugh about afterwards.. And then he went to a clinic to give a spm sample. I think men must hate this stuff even more than all us.. but I guess just give him some encouragement and support. It is hard when you want something so much and you are relying on someone else's cooperation. My DH does want this too but I don't think he quite appreciated that it may be difficult to get pregnant. I have found it is better for us if I try not to mention it too much and try and just be happy and light. Good luck. x

Thanks Greta, this has helped loads. OH will have to go to a hospital to have his sample taken and we will have to book this after he has seen the docs. Seems quite painless then.

I hope your results come back soon x

:hugs:
