i am 18
i have the inplant does it allways work ?

i am getting the flowing symptoms sickness, dizzy, high temperature, sore breasts, butterfly pains

what should i do

so i wud lyk sum1 to help me if they can to talk it through with me

Do you have a home pregnancy test you can take?
Implants don't fail very often, but it has been known to happen. You need to start with taking a test.

Do you still get your period on the implant ( I can't remember) If you do are you late?

I'd take a test!

im on implant have been since jan 08.
We dont use condoms, ive had everything you've said, ive done tests always come back negative, best thing for you to do is a test. x

When did you have it fitted?
You're not supposed to have sex without a condom for the first two weeks. I got told it was only one week, but then afterwards I got told it was 2 weeks and start panicing, even though I am bleeding on and off. Have you come on hun? I take it you don't have regular periods on the implant. I haven't had a proper period since may lol.
I have the same, I get dizzy, stomach cramps, my stomach has gone all hard and bloated, and I get that weird flutter quite low down. It started out as a flutter every now and then, but now it just feels like when you can feel your heart beating in your chest. It only usually tends to happen when I'm leaning forward or lying on my stomach. But I think this is all down to the implant to be honest hun. But of course no birth control is totally fool proof. I was on implant and back in may was sure i was preggers i wasnt but the implant tricks your body into thinking its preggers so u dont ovulate ....Good luck try not to worry and test to put ur mind at rest xxx

i had it fitted in october princess_x0 i havnt had a perioud tho.

it turned out that im not pregnant, so wa im gna do is wait till my boyfriend gets a proper job n we get a house together n then get my implant took out so hopefully that will be soon because we both want a baby together coz we have talked about it and stuff and i really do love him and i think we will both make boss parents. So unil we find a house and move in together and are comfortable in the house then il get the implant took out and then get preg.

But what i want to know is.. how long does it take were i can get pregnant after i have had the implant coz the nurse told me it takes a few week so my body can get back to normal.

I'm glad you are going to wait until you are in a good position! That will help you be even better parents. How long it takes for your body to get back to normal and for you to get pg varies for everyone. Some women get pregnant straight away, others take many months. It took me 6 months of hard trying. I would wait until you are ready, then get it out. Hopefully it won't take long to fall preggers, but don't be surprised if it does take a bit. I think 6-12 months is pretty normal.
