Hello!

Bit of Background..... myself and OH have been chatting about getting engaged etc.. and He mentioned that we could look at rings over the w/e just gone.... and also his mam had his gran's ring for me to look at...

Well I saw the ring at the weekend and it is beautiful.. I just dont know if its for me... The band is yellow gold, with three diamonds in a platinum setting. I just dont know...

Now OH has the money saved for my own ring, but is kinda banking on me taking his gran's ring, he already starting saying that he NEEDS a new car etc etc, so in his mind its all sorted i.e. I take his Gran's ring and he get a new car with the money he saved for my own ring.

I dont know what to do... I said that Id always my heart set on white gold/platinum and he said that we could get it platinum plated.. but I still dont know.....

I feel like such a bitch... but I kinda feel like Im being fobbed off with his gran's ring... Im actually sitting here with tears in my eyes.

He's putting the pressure on now to get to the jewellers and get it sorted, cos he's already picked out the car etc etc

Even if we get it platinum plated, and reduced by about 8 sizes, I still dont know if Id be happy with it.

I know Im just rambling now, so I'll shut up!

why not take the grandmothers ring at the moment then buy a pair (wedding/engagment ring) when you get married as it might be hard to actually find a wedding band to fit it?
