I've called FA and they want to see me in the next hour. I'm worried.

Easier said than done, but don't fret!

D'you know how much of your waters have broken?

Were they clear?

:hugs:

You will be fine hun! They will likely give you antib's and maybe steroid shots for baby and monitor you until labour starts but baby is quite mature enough to be born safely now! Many hugs and best wishes :):)

Someone is online! Thank goodness!!!

A little at first then once I sat on the loo loads! They didn't seem to fret at the FA unit but he'd be prem wouldnt' he!? No contractions, show or anything.

don't know what to expect.

Was clear and def. not wee - felt different - couldn't feel bladder emptying and did smell sweet.

oh s*** why couldn't I be 37weeks!

Ok, that's good...clear waters are a good sign! :)

Now breathe :hugs:

You're only one week away from being technically full-term. They'll assess you, assess LO and probably give you two options: you can wait and see what happens, or you can be induced.

If you choose to wait and see, you'll be at a higher risk of infection. It's not as terrifying as it sounds as long as you take measures to protect yourself (for example, if you choose not to be induced, don't have sex until you've given birth).

They're not worrying as much as you because 36 weeks really isn't that early. Remember, a healthy normal pregnancy lasts from 37-42 weeks, so you're only about a week away anyway.

Edit: sorry, should've added - the wait and see thing is to see if you go into labour naturally. When they assess you they'll determine whether you've lost all or only some of your waters. Some ladies lose waters at a slow rate, others gush.

Hope everything worked out ok!
My waters broke at 36 weeks too and bubs was born 9h later - healthy and happy!
xx

:hugs: I'm sure everything will be just fine hun. Maybe you'll have your baby in time for Christmas day, happy and healthy xx

I'm sure everything will be fine, try not to worry. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey don't fret, me and my brother were born at 35 weeks and we're fine lol.
I'm kinda hoping my bubba comes early. I soo bored of being pregnant now, its sooo uncomfortable I wanna cry. Good luck -hope everything goes well! xx

Good luck! I hope it all goes well. We will all be thinking of you xx

36 weeks really isn't something to worry about. Technically baby is prem but everything is in place for him / her to cope perfectly well in the outside world.

Good luck and keep us posted - so exciting!!

Oh hun good luck to you, u will both be fine im sure xxx.

Good luck!! Don't worry hun ( Trust me, I would be worried too lol...) but I have been through specialists etc... due to having an early c-section and I got them to hold off until after Christmas for other reasons other than gestational age :) They were going to do a section at 36 weeks for me and specialist said she would want to do an amnio to check for lung maturity but she also said that chances are, bubs would be fine and dandy. By their books I will still be under 37 weeks when I deliver as they have me 5 days earlier than I know I am hehe and she is perfectly fine with taking baby at that stage :) A friend of mine delivered her little girl last year at 34 weeks and she didn't even need help breathing at all :) She was a little small but other than that, perfectly healthy!!! :D

Again, good luck and hope all goes well!

Good luck hun sure all will be just fine and hospital will look after you all xxx

Good luck, I'm sure all will be fine at this stage though xx
