My question is...where's best for him to sleep? My other dog is crate trained and sleeps in her crate in the spare room, I was gona put the puppy in the utility room in his crate...but we live in a bungalow...so everytime I have to take him out in the night to pee, Tegan will hear me and wake up and start barking to get out of her crate!

I have a blanket we rubbed on his mummy, a hot water bottle and a ticking clock to put in his bed. Am I better to just leave him in his crate all night with a puppy pad down? What if he cries all night? I don't want the neighbours going mad! He's currently asleep on the mat after his first walk (which didn't go very well cus he didn't waa walk!)

We got our other dog when she was 6 months, and she cried the first few nights in her crate, but now she's fine and goes in herself when I turn off the tv at night.

Also, they're fightibg quite alot already, well play fighting (like in the video, but alot louder!), but do I just leave them to it or separate them? I have to go to work for 3 hours tomro and theyll be alone, will I keep them in separate room, or will they be ok?

Thanks!!

He's cute is he a cain ?

Can you not put the pups crate next to you older dogs crate ? He'll probably sleep though the night then like she does.

I wouldn't get up to him at all, If he's got a puppy pad in there.

When they are play fighting or even when your older bitch is putting the pup in his place - I would just leave them to it, dont interfer at all or it'll cause more issues. The pup will learn quicker from the older dog - he needs to learn his place and learn how far he can push it with the adult dogs.

Good luck

Thanks :) He's a lhasa apso cross! He slept in the utility room all night and only barked once at 6.30am and I just left him, so he went back to sleep. He didn't pee on his pad either, only when I took him outside! I'm worried they'll keep each other awake if I put the crates together!

They've been play fighting all day, so I've just left them to it. We both have a class tonight from 6-9pm, so lets see how they are when we get back lol. I'm putting them in the conservaroty so they can play, and also can't chew anything cus it's empty! He's such a chewer already lol

I'd deff have the crates next to each other while they get used to being together then you can just pop the pup in with the older one.

Good luck at class lol

I would get up to put puppy out for a wee, think you make more work using a puppy pad in the long run. Cute puppy

So last night was a baaad one lol. I knew the first night was a fluke! He was up allll night crying and barking and howling his head off! I took him out to pee at 2am, and he cried for 2 full hours after when I put him back in, and every half hour or so after that til I just got him out at 7am...2 minutes later the other one was barking to get out of her crate too! OH is still in bed cus she isn't well, so I've chucked them into the back garden, where they're both jumping up on the door and barking to get in!!

Funnily enough, he doesn't pee at night! He didn't again last night, prob cus I took him out at 2am, but between 2 and 7am he was dry, which is great.

This is gona be a longggg road lol
