I had my first round of Clomid 50mg. I'm getting BFNs and I'm on CD59. My cycles are irregular anyway but this is a fairly long one even by my standards. Has anyone had this happen before? It's driving me crazy, I'm in limbo and just want to start the next cycle.

This is my chart

It shows ovulation a few days ago but I'm pretty sure it's wrong.

Any experiences, thoughts or advice welcome!

Hi, I have been on Clomid and have annoying long cycles as well. (I do have PCOS though).

The process my OBGYN puts us on when starting clomid is - take provera (progesterone) for 7-10 days to start cycle, clomid on the set days, day 23 blood test and then go back and see him again for ovulation results. If no ovulation, start provera again to bring on cycle and increase dosage of clomid if needed. Without the provera - I would have been waiting FOREVER to start a new round of clomid each time.

We did this process 3 times - 50mg, 150mg, 200mg - all with no success. I then had ovarian drilling done and have just done 300mg round of clomid (CD25 today). If this round failed to make me ovulate, then we are off to IVF specialist. Wont get my results til end of Jan which sucks!

I have been charting my BBT though and it showed a dip on CD17 and has been rising steadily since then - highest it has EVER been since 6 moths charting and my boobs are so sore! I also felt some side effects this time with the clomid (bad dizziness) - never had any side effects the first 3 times. Maybe this 300mg did work for me, but I wont know for a while yet for sure :(

It doesn't look like you O'd , based on your temps. :(

Sounds like a long hard road for you but seems positive on this cycle! Let me know how you get on, really hope this is it for you! xx

I hope so... but I dare not get excited or my hopes us... easier to deal with it if I just expect the worse... hate having to do it though. Wish I could get excited like most people can when TTC. Will keep you posted though. Good luck with your TTC joureny too :hugs:
