Can't find anything on Doctor Google or my pregnancy books, so I will ask here: after a pelvic exam (checked for dilation and effacement, of which I'm 2cm and 75%) my OB said I might bleed a little after. That was at 3:30. It's 9:00 here and I just went pee and had my heavy mucous discharge with red blood. Is it expected to bleed that far later?

I was told up to 12 hours after, your cervix is really sensitive and they can be pretty invasive with checks

Oh thank goodness. I'm not ready for baby yet LOL!

As long as it's not heavy bleeding like you need a pad it's okay

I always bleed after. Usually all the way into the evening and even into the next morning with my first exam.
