Afternoon naps..

am i the only one who cant live without them?

Maybe its because im starting to get a bit depressed being at home all day and I know being tired all the time is a depressive thing, however its also a pregnancy thing. I cant get to the 3pm without struggling to keep my eyes open! :sleep:

Very much looking forward to having a purposeful routine sometime in the next few weeks! And look forward to being tired from actually doing something, rather than the tired you feel because you are just a bit blue?

i know i need to force myself to go out walking etc, but the tiredness really hinders me. maybe tomorrow ill start trying to go out a walk before lunch, or take my book to the pub round the corner for a cuppa tea!
 
I've been napping, usually in the mornings (like tending to the dogs and horses but then sleeping until 9:30 or 10 am) and I feel super guilty about it!

I hate napping, but I'm trying to tell myself that my body needs the sleep!
 
Most days I've tried to nap but haven't been able to, but today I listened to a hypnosis CD and fell asleep for 2 hours! It was a-MAZE-ing lol!
 
lol. i try to nap every day. yesterday i even put off my errands just to nap. if i miss a day of napping im so grumpy. ha. but im finding that at night i wake up and cant sleep anymore...until like 6am, then its time to get up.
 
I could have seriously done this in the first tri... now its either i can sleep or i cant sleep at alll.. my sleeping sucks lately i actually did good last night now if every night could be like that i'd be set lol
 
Yes. I'm the same. I can't live without my nap. I'm so glad kids take naps!
 
no i cant nap i start to feel tired after 6.30 pm but dont go to bed till 10pm x x x
 
I am obsessed with afternoon napping. Its honestly the best thing ever :haha:

I'm signed off work at the moment and I nappy from about 2-4pm every day. I dread having to go back to work for a couple of weeks before I finish. I'll miss them terribly!
 
I usually nap for about 30 mins to an hour each day. It feels so good especially when I've had a rubbish nights sleep
 
Oh no! I have to have a nap or I can't function. Iwake up way too much in the night not to have a nap. Lol.
 
I love a good nap and almost always take one if I have the opportunity - 2 hours minimum though, I just can't get my head round power naps!
 
I nap most days for about an hour or sometimes longer. I need them As I'm so tired but I hate the waking up part, takes me about an hour to feel normal again and then that's my whole afternoon wasted.
 
i just have to have a nap normaly for hour - 2 with ear plugs in im just rubish with out sleep so really wooried whats going to happen when baby gets here :(
 
yesterday only had a 30 min nap and felt quite good after. But today im feeling more tired on waking up than i did before bed!

Ive been having tightenings/cramps since yest morning so maybe thats why im so tired...
 
Iv been having a nap when Sophie dose, she's up now but not feeling sleepy today, we both slept for almost 2 hours on Tuesday, I'm so shocked becuse she has never been a big napper 30/45 mins at most, so not sure why she's so tired but I appreciate it lol x
 
haha 3pm is my cut off to!!lol. i really really struggle to sleep at night time, i barely get any sleep but when it hits about 3pm, i literally fall asleep where i am lol. very unusual for me but it must be cuz of the lack of sleep im getting at night. baby went to sleep around 11am yesterday morning so thought id join him lol, we had a great sleep until he started kicking around like crazy, kicking me in my sides, must have decided id had enough sleep lol.x
 
I used to love my afternoon naps in 1st & 2nd tri but ive found now that if i do have a PM nap then i find it hard to sleep on a night :dohh: x
 
The guilt free napping is one of my favourite things about late pregnancy :)
 
I need to have a nap everyday but unfortunately my 2.5 year old doesn't so I can't and it kills me. trust me, nap if you can and feel you need it.
 
I take a nap everyday lol... Mostly because I have become really restless at night and have started to have troubles breathing and getting comfy so I haven't been getting efficient sleep at night so naps are a MUST!
