i want to start trying for baby number two but was wondering if there was a certain amount of time ur meant to wait inbetween pregnancies, like to not wreck ur body lol

also, what do u girls think is the best age gap between siblings?

thanks

x

I think they say to wait a bit, but I dont know. I have had babies pretty close together. Morgan was 15 months when Naomi-Mae was born, Naomi-Mae was 22 months when Honey was born, and Kaysie was born 4 days before Honey would of been 1. Physically its not good for you to have so many pregnancies so close together (I have been pregnant every year for six years and planning on making it 7 lol) but two pregnancies close together shouldnt be too bad.

Age gap like I said is 15 months between my oldest two, and they are SO close, the best of friends.

I would say as long as you had a very healthy uncomplicated birth you should be fine. I've always heard its harder to loose the weight after the second though.
For me personally.. Colton was so big there was lots of wear and tear on my uterus, the doctor had to fold it in half and stitch it so that it could contract; so I wouldnt risk getting pregnant so soon and maybe loosing my uterus as I'm hoping to have 3 children.

i think they say it is best to wait a year, some people say the worst age gap is 18months - 3 years (dunno why) i have read in other places that its the best so i suppose it depends who's opinion you ask....

theres 20 months roughly between my two and everyone says i am brave but i love it (mind you OH is still on paternity leave - it might be a diff story once he goes back to work) lol

I'm unsure medical wise how long you 'should' wait but we are waiting until Jack is nearly 3 so when the baby is born he will be in school which will give me and the baby time together and also Jack will understand a bit more and will enjoy helping at the age (i help :p) Also my other half and his brother have 1-2 years difference and gets on well with his sister where there is 4-5 years difference :D

I have read somewhere that you should wait until a year after giving birth which will give your body time to recover and get back to normal so the hormones can settle again.
However, it is all down to personal choice there is no harm to have a pregnancy straight after it is just recommended you wait.
My son is now 18 months old and we are trying to baby number 2. Good luck whatever you decide. x x

Hi hun .. i dont know if theres a recommended gap but theres 12 months between my 1st and 2nd, nearly 2 years between 2nd and 3rd and there will be 4 years between 3rd and 4th!

My first 2 are to close in age IMO, their so competitive and argue loads but play together well and share in everything ..

...m the gap between my 2nd and 3rd is a nice gap .. but my 1st and 3rd are very close (theres 3 years between them)
My 4th will have to bigger age gap, i feel for him because i think hes going to be left out of things alot :(

Not sure on the time to leave between pregnancies. Ive got 3 years between mine and its nice because he can help me out with Ellie and he unstood it abit more and his also very capable of doing alot of things hiself like he can help hisself to food and he can make his self a drink and take hisself to the toilet so it makes it alot easier for me.
