DD is 5 days old. We had a great start to BFing but all the sudden yesterday she had trouble latching. The LC I contacted said it was probably becasue my milk came in making my nipples flat. She advised me to massage them with a hot towel before feeding. This has helped a bit but she's still struggling. Her mouth is so tiny and she's not getting a good latch but I can't seem to get the whole nipple in there. I'm so sore and don't know how much longer I can deal with this pain. She's nursing for hours at a time and still hungry. Please help!

Could you temporarily try nipple shields? You could then try getting her used to nipple by starting the feed with a shield and then removing it after the foremilk x
