....and I'm still getting those annoying cramps? Is this normal? Round ligament pain? I know my uterus is growing, so maybe that is it? Is anyone else experiencing cramps and different aches down there? They aren't painful and there is no bleeding...just annoying!

ive had a stitch like pain in either of my sides throughout pregnancy its just the stretching pains

I'm in alot of pain still lol. I'm gonna ask my midwife about it on tuesday. They seem to be quite bad now but I think it's stress

I am still cramping and I am just a few days behind you. I saw my midwife on Thursday and mentioned it, and she said that was normal. My cramps are only a few times through out the day, and just enough for me to feel them. You are right, they are just annoying.

I've started to get these weird cramps since I was about 14 weeks myself, which also coincided with my stomach starting to look "pregnant". Theyre intermittent and it really feels more like things stretching down there..

I've had cramping problems since day one... but so far so good!!

Thanks ladies for the responses! I guess I need to stop looking up stuff on the internet, lol! And instead look to this forum first. I find things like preterm labor, placetal abruption and more and more. The cramping I'm sure is normal, but wish it would go away. I'd feel so much better! :)

Yeah I'm still getting it a lot. I especially tend to get it if I've been out walking or sometimes if I just move at an odd angle if I'm on the sofa. I think it's really easy to pull those muscles now.

when i was in my first tri i got alot of ligament pain but all of last nite and this morning ive had a weird stich pain in my bottom right side of belly when i move around its so annoying your constantly worrying what all these aches and pains are

Try to have nice warm baths, it may give you a bit of time off from them! x

I am feeling much better today, but thought I'd open up the topic of preterm labor. As, I know, cramping and back aching is a symptom of this....just as it is a symptom of everything else. Ha! How will you know you're going into preterm labor and weeks from now, if I have the same kind of off and on cramping, how will I be able to tell the difference between my uterus growing and labor pains? I have just never even thought of preterm labor until now and don't know much about it. Thanks guys!

I understand your worries as I am having cramps and pains even up til this stage now, and although this is my third baby, I believe it is all due to uterus stretching unless the crampings are accompanied by unusual discharge...or something else....
I hope this helps to guide all of us....

Causes of Cramping During Your Second & Third Trimester

1. Round ligament pain - The infamous round ligament pain strikes pregnant women often in their second and third trimester. As in early pregnancy the uterus continues to stretch and grow. As the uterus expands the ligaments stretch to support it. Mild cramping may occur.

2. Preterm labor - Cramping, mild or severe, diarrhea, and back pain can all be indicators of preterm labor.

3. Braxton Hicks contractions - In the second and third trimester pregnant women will often have Braxton Hicks contractions. Braxton Hicks contractions are the irregular intermittent contractions that occur during pregnancy.

4. Labor - During early labor cramping and back pain are common symptoms.

Because normal cramping can be hard to differentiate from a sign of danger, we recommend discussing any cramping with your doctor.

I've been getting Braxton Hicks !! Well at least I think thats what it is..

I thought it was way to early but my mum reckons she had them from about now too (18 - 19 weeks)

Its mainly if I go shopping and am walking around for to long or if I've done loads of house work.

My stomach goes rock hard and feels like a really really bad period pain. Almost like a squeezing sensation. Just how I'd imagine a mild labour pain to feel.

I'm thinking its a good sign that my body is practicing what to do..

Anyone else had this yet?

I have not had any signs of that yet, but I do agree with your mom that it may be what you are experiencing. My doctor says you will know when you are getting Braxton Hicks contractions because you will feel a tightening of the stomach. I too, went on a shopping spree Friday night and that is when my cramping in my right hand side kicked in. I honestly think I over did myself and it's crazy how your body definitely lets you know that. Isn't it?
