the title says it all:help:

i'm thinking my irregular periods are the main culprit to our ttc#2 issues.
my last few cycles have been:
39 days, 29 days, 38 days, 30 days (this is the most recent).
although i know soon-to-be 40 doesn't help.

i started taking vitex this last month, so i'm hoping it helped to shorten my cycle, but it's hard to say since two cycles ago it was 29 days.

my cycles before getting pg with our first were:
35, 38, 36, 36. so not as much of a range as now.

i would love to hear any success stories, advice, natural remedies you've heard about or have tried.

i have done acupuncture off and on since june 2012, but no luck yet. also, nettles/raspberry tea.

i'm also using the cbfm, which worked like a charm the first time around, but now, not so much.:nope:

i'm hesitantly willing to try clomid, but would really like to get a bfp naturally.

thanks ladies.:hugs:

I think irregular cycles are a function of age, no? They seemed to be, for me.

I tried pretty much everything. While I can't definitively say what worked*, I tend to believe it came down to better nutrition and CoQ10 and DHEA supplements.

I've been mostly vegetarian for awhile, but committed to a vegan diet a few months ago. (Not actually for the purpose of ttc, or even because I thought it was any healthier.) So I was really surprised to find my hormonal profile had changed dramatically, and I can't think of what else would be responsible. Suddenly, I am no longer estrogen dominant, and no longer need progesterone supplements. So now I think cutting out eggs and cheese has balanced out my body hormonally, and made it more receptive to pregnancy.

Supplements: My RE recommended 200mg CoQ10 3x/day and 25mg DHEA 3x/day. It's kind of funny, I felt very resistant toward everything else she ever prescribed for me (I don't like medication), but somehow I just believed in these supplements. I just felt very good taking them!

*I suppose the biggest factor is just the odds on a good egg. I think they say around 40yrs, about 10% of one's eggs are viable. So, gotta keep rolling the dice, just a matter of continuing to try.

Thanks luckyw.
I think I'll give those 2 supplements a try.
I keep hearing a lot about them. I've been a vegetarian
for 20 years+.

Congrats to you!!
