Wwell ladies, i have been ready alot of concerns and stories people have and i thought mine might intrest you. Rather then reading forum on forum of complications, situations and decisions during labor to find all information , my two vaginal births include the majoirty all in one forum.
to start with, my first born (now almost 2) was an amazing pregnancy! I was never sick, tired, sore, cramping, exhausted and worked up until 2 weeks before having her. I had no complications the whole way threw minus being strep b positive. (not a bad/gross thing) lol. However get this, my labour contractions where undetectable!!! I slept threw the majority of my labour! I went to the doc at noon one more with no cramping and was told i was two cm dilated and 25% effaced. I was told it could be up to ten days before dialating further. I hadnt lost my mucus plug yet either and was told once u lose your plug it can be able a week. Well i returned home around 3 pm, still no pain or cramps, went to bed about 930 with no cramping. At noon i was 2 cm around 3pm i lost my mucuplug.
i woke up around midnight with some mild cramps and thought it may be due to needing to go to the washroom! So i attempted to go #2 (therefore pushing) not knowing within about half an hour i went from slight ignoreable cramps to being highly uncomfortable. I woke my spose up, went to doctors, found out when we got there i musta been in labour all day unaware, i was 10cm and 100% effaced by 130am (soon as i got to hospital) no lption for the epideral as my daughters head was lierally coming lut! With laughing gas, aand only 10 minutes of pushing i had my little girl within half hour of getting to the doctors.they assisted woth the vaccume thing to pull her head out as her heart rate was stopping. 2 stitches on each side of inside of me however.! Stiches where more painful then the entire labour. Left yhe hospital with abs as well! I droped the 23 lbs id gained plus 2 lbs of my weight within hours of having her. Stiches healed well and my daughter was healthy and had amazing health! Born two days early at 7lbs14oz. Following haven my daughter, a murse spong bathed my and ripped my stiches, poked my daughter in the wrong spot 4 times attempting to do jaudice test, and we stayed for an additional jaudice test due to high levels in my daughter.
round 2 ::
I had my son 4 mnths ago. My daughter is now almost 2 years so i have 2 under two.my pregnancy experience with my son ws much opposite then with my dughter! I found out when i ws 3 weeks pregnant, had brutal morning sickness for bout 3 mnths, ws taking diclectin 7 pills a day! I developed annemia, lowbloodpressure that caused a fainting syncope, calcium deficiency, placenta previa which passed anout 3 weeks before haven my son thank god. I was constantly in horrible pain , exhausted lightheaded, hungry , and nauscious. I was in school for hairstling and therefore standing 8hrs aday up until i was 7mnths pregnant. My son came 2 weeks before him due date. My water broke prematurly. I went to the hospital and was admited as i needed to start an antibiotic for strep b positive, i lost alot of water so the started my on medical induction, iv's to start the labour as my bodied wasnt near ready ((1cm dilated 0%effaced) 11hrs later nochanges no progress, my iv was at the maximum does, i was walking and bouncing on the ball and taking baths and doing jumping jaze loving it! My contractions monitor was hitting 120 and yet my body wasnt adapting and dialating.. finally i started feeling some slight cramping and knowing it was about to be a loooong day i got the epideral just to experience it. Epideral felt awesome numb all over. After 2 more hours, still no progress. Legs numb i stood up and bounced on the ball to let gravity help my body out. Due to sitting up my epideral began unfreezing my stomach and abdomen. On my legs where now numb. They reset my iv and double dosed it to the max and finally after 18 hours i started feeling uncomfortable. I layed back down to try and allow my epideral to "refreeze" my abdomen but it didnt work, within half an hour i went from 1-10cm and 0-100% effaced. Docs called this expulsive contracting. My monitor would go up to 140 and rather then drop back to 0 for a few breif seconds for a breather between contractions, it would go 140 for about 2 mins straight, drop to 90 for about 20 seconds then back to 140. No breaks!!! Horrible pain could barely breath when my boddy started to react to the iv it worked hard and fast. Docs were giving me extra shots of the epideral and nothing was helping. I forced my body to calm down , caught my breath and with one push (your suppose to deep breath push deep breath and push again before end of a contraction) well i deep breath push deep breath push, contraction ended and i deep breath and pushed again any ways and he was out! Withing 2 minutes of pushing!!! 7lbs 5 oz. 3 stiches inside again.
Also with both my labours i was awaiting my late mother in law to show up! I crossed my legs and faught to keep baby in until she got there and both times, the second i was like thats enough im done waiting, soon as id go to push shes walk in!
So in two labours i experienced, labour preparations, laughing gas, natural delivery, epideral, iv for induction, complications, placenta previa, morning sickness to extreme, long labour, short labout, heart rate dropping, expulsive contractions, i was warned about emergency csection if my placenta previa didnt pass, annemia, fainting syncope, working during pregnancy, school during pregnancy, stitches, good nurse care, bad nurse care, and mich more. Any information you made need on any of this or worries you may have or similar stories , or just to hear more, let me know! Ive experienced many angles of vaginal labour and pregnancy and have two under two!
