Can anyone reccomend any to try with IUI to help it succeed?

Hi:hi:

I had a session with a reflexologist at the start of this current cycle, as I was also starting on clomid. I spoke to a reflexologist in my area, and explained what was happening, and she reckoned that the drugs combined with the stimulation from reflexology, would give my ovaries an extra boost. It might work with IUI too. Although I think you would be best phoning one in your area, as don't you have to take cycle suppressants at the start and then fertility boosting drugs? Not sure but if you get the treatment at the wrong time, they might work against each other.

The one I saw, chatted to me over the phone for a good fifteen minutes before I booked my session. Then the first session was a good two hours, as she went through a case history - medical info, family history, etc.

Hope that helps.

Good luck with your IUI

xx

id reccommend accupincture as ive started getting it myself and my accupuncturist had clients who ae undergoing ivf and are getting accupuncture to help! Women also see him when they are pregant to help prevent miscarriages and im doing it to see if it helps me conceieve and to ease my af pain. It is useful to calm you down...since ive been i havnt been as worried and this could be useful to you as im sure it will be a stressful time aswell as exciting. Im scared of needles...and its not scary...in fact i became so relaxed in the last session that i fell asleep! They tend to give you herbs as well...be warned they are foul but if theyre doing your body good i think its worth it!

Is it expensive? Think i read a post somewhere that you (or someone else?) were paying £30 a session? I really couldnt afford that...

Yeah unfortunatley it isn't cheap but you could search the internet to see if you could get it more affordable, it tends to be cheaper for shorter sessions and can very depending on where you live as well. The reflexology costs the same price in the clinic i go to. To make it more affordable i took out axa health insurance its 16 pound a month and they pay for 50% of the treatment! Its a really good thing to have because it covers tests, physio, homeopathy opticians and dental work. Its a plan that made to be affordable! My OH is going to use it for the chiropractor and they also give you monay when you have a child!

If you cant afford the accupuncture or reflexolgy i would reccommend going for a massage and doing things that help you relax because i really think being calm helps with fertility processes (easier said than done im sure!)

Hmmm might look into what my health insurance can do for me....
Im with Benenden healthcare

you def should...after all thats what its there for good luck!! Let me know how you get on if you do try alternatives!
