Anyone out there who would want to connect thru here as i am going to be a single mum this is my first time im 35 weeks i live back home with my mum and stepdad im doing well bit over it now but itd be nice to connect with mums going thru similar things and who are single...

Not been seriously harmed by my FOB per se but because he has mental health issues, I would class myself as having been in an emotionally abusive relationship for three years. Its been tough but you can do it. The only option is to leave and stay away as they are a walking problem for anyone that meets them. Im still battling with stopping thinking its my fault ( he always accused me of being crazy, nasty and off the wall whenever i challenged him on his behaviour i.e threw it back in my face and would not accept blame) I dont know how you can call a woman crazy who gets left when shes pregnant and the father wont bother with his child. Yeah i must be nuts to have a go at a man for doing that to me ;-)

Its awful that these men think n act the way they do!! Its just not right specially when theres a bub or unborn bub involved...
It took me 2.5 yrs n getting pregnant n the police gettin involved in the end for me to finally leave!! Best choice i ever made but dont get me wrong its been hard an painful at times thinkin i wish he was man enough to grow up his gonna miss out on such a beautiful thing (my baby) but im not risking my or my babys safety once shes born in 4 weeks (i hope lol )
After all he did used to hit me at least once or twice a day soo bad sometimes my arms n legs would b bruised among other awful things he did
But my advice to any1 in this situation or similar is seek professional help or seek the law (police) i know its scary but stayin is more scary in the end... Its hard an painful but your bette off without scum in your life ...

Its also our duty to protect the future of our children and thats a strong motivator to get away from these types of men. As much as I want my LO to have his father in his life, I must face reality and accept that my boy is better off without him. How can I let a relationship form between him and his Dad when his father is so messed up in the head? He is so negative, his views on life are so twisted and out of whack, he would teach bad things to my son and make him unhappy. These little babies personalities are like blank canvases ready to be filled. I want my boy to be a happy, jolly and content little soul and grow up a secure and confident man. Its my duty to help him be like that and prevent him from being as messed up as his Dad. I just hope he stays away of his own accord now and never asks to see his son.

My ex can be emotionally abusive. He has some underlying mental health issues too I have realized.
I'm now attending an abused women's support group and it's really opened my eyes. I have lots to say on the topic. PM me any time.

Hardest part for me is sharing my children with someone who I believe could hurt them emotionally... tough stuff. We broke up when our babies were 3 months old, so it's been SUPER hard...
