So I went trying wedding dresses on yesterday as I felt I had been 'left out' as I never really got to try many on as the dress I got was the 3rd out of 6 I tried on!!

Tried on a lovely dress (not as nice as mine) but I LOVED the neckline. It was a sweetheart neckline and it really looked amazing!

I am thinking of getting a seamstress to make a sweetheart neckline on my dress... do you think I should do it or just leave it as it is? xx

If you think the shape is more flattering to you than the neckline your dress has, the budget has enough room for alterations, and the seamstress is happy to do it and its not going to destroy the integrity of the corsetry/line of the dress then I say go for it

Hmmm i agree with Boofs, although it sounds like it might be a lot of hassle

My dress is a sweetheart neckline, i love it!!

yep def with boofs! if it can be done without harming the dress, and you'd prefer it, then go for it kelly! ooooo i loved trying on wedding dresses! though not as much as trying mine on!

Well I've got an appointment to go on Saturday my dress needs taking up anyway as I'm a short arse :haha: So even if I don't get the neck line done I will be getting it taken up so it won't be a waster journey  xx

Have a think about it first.... try your dress on again... and you might realise that you prefer your dress just the way it is! If not have a really good think about it first!

What neckline does it have at the moment?

Surely you bought that dress because it is 'the one'?

If the budget allows, then do it if it will make it the perfect dress, but have a think about what else that money could be spent on - a suit for T, flowers for the MIL, towards a honeymoon, etc?

Hi hun,

What did you decide to do in the end??

They couldn't cut the sweetheart neckline in due to the detail so they are now ruching the front to a sweetheart neckline instead :) xx
