Hey Everyone!

I just joined yester and was very optimistic with this pregnancy than all of a sudden last night i had noticed some light bleeding when i eiped. It was light but bright red.

I decided to go to the ER as I had been experiencing minor cramps for the entire week that i had got it confirmed (jan.27) My blood test came back saying that it says im pregnant but he said barley. And my HCG levels were only 103. Which I know is VERY low.

I was brought into tears as this was my first pregnancy and i wanted this soo badly, I think its pretty safe to say that this pregnancy is over?

I am going to the doc in two days to see if my levels had changed, but i really doubt they will, i just have that feeling anyways.

No bleeding today, only a brown dischage.

PLEASE guys respond I need absoutley anyones thoughts on this!!!!!

how far along are you? If your 4 weeks along then those numbers are within the normal range, no-one here can tell you im afraid, your going to have to wait til the next test will keep fx for you and bean :hugs:

The thing is i dont know how far along i am now. I was told last week aprx. 4.5 weeks which would make me 5.5 weeks now. The doc said if that was true than my numbers should have been in the tens of thousands.

My last menstal period was December 25th, 2009/ I ovulated aprx. on Jan.8th and I do know that my partner and I were trying to conceive that entire week of ovulation.

nope! tens of thousands isnt accurate at all hun

and according to your date of conception you could be anywhere from 4 weeks to 5 weeks but no more than that, it sounds like your hcg is in the right bracket, try not to worry hun until you get your second test :hugs:

that does give me some temperary relief. But the bleeding and cramping still realy concerns me. :(

Bleeding in the first trimester is quite common..... your HCG levels are ok for 4-5 weeks... The cramping is a concern but because you are so early that also can be quite normal.... ( I cramped untill 6 weeks) The only way of knowing for sure is having another blood draw and then seeing if the numbers double in 48-72 hours...... Its a good sign that the bleeding is brown and slowing.

This site has an online doubling calculator.
Hope the numbers go up for you :)

I know its difficult but try to stay positive. Bleeding is really common in early pregnancy and not always a problem. I had bleeding too and my doctor told me that sure it can be a miscarriage but for more than half the women he see's, their pregnancy continues without further problems.

The cramping is also a very normal feeling. Lots of women will tell you it feels just like you're going to start your period at any moment but its just your belly growing to accomodate baby.

Good luck. x

Well just as an update I am still bleeding and its no longer jsut when I wipe, It's not heavy...yet but it hasnt stop and the cramps come and go.

I really have come to the acception that I am in the middle of a miscarriage.
I will still go to the doctor tomorrow to get my HCG levels checked has it has been 48hrs just to see if they have dropped from 103.

I really am saddened by this, as I know I'm not the first one to experience a miscarriage, It's jsut that I really want to join "motherhood" so badly.

try and keep your fingers crossed. i started bleeding at 5 and half weeks and still am i have been diagnosed with subchronic hematoma, thats why im bleeding not because im miscarrying, even though there is a chance that can happen still. hope things work out for u. good luck xx

I had bleeding (brown and bright red) throughout the first trimester. I rushed to A&E at 11 weeks with bright red blood running down my legs, convinced I was losing my babies, and here I am at 27wks!

Bleeding, even with cramps does not necessarily signify m/c - if it has tapered off then it is even less likely.

With my first baby I had a "threatened miscarriage" when I had bright red bleeding at 6wks, had period cramps and all my pregnancy symptoms disappeared overnight. The next day, the bleeding had turned brown and continued for another week. I carried that pregnancy to term.

It's easy to say, but try not to assume the worst. Fingers crossed for you hun x
