Am I wrong to not be on birth control?

I had a D&C June 12 2014, MMC, baby developed to 9 wks 4 days, but carried until 14 wks 6 days. Dr wants me to wait to ttc for 2 periods, her reasoning is basically that if I conceive too quickly that I'll just MC again because the uterine lining wouldn't be thick enough for a good implant. I'm not actively trying (I am doing OPKs to just see where my body is at, and I did get a positive OPK on July 8th, after getting a bfn hpt). I just can't stand to prevent a baby from happening. I really want to actively try after first period. Dr says everything is healing perfectly, so I don't really understand the uterine lining reasoning, we shed it every month anyway. I would think it would be fine after one af? I'm getting that compulsion to be pregnant again

I was told to wait 6 months after MC and D&C at 8 weeks. So every doctor is different.
Two months is not a long time to wait.

They also need to be wary about infection too so often they tell you to wait for that reason. Personally I would wait one cycle then start again.
I had a mc then fell pregnant before I got my next period but I didn't have a d&c so I think this makes a difference.
