I'm from the UK and I've found a website called American Soda which sells things like tootsie rolls, Hershey's chocolate, lucky charms etc! Me a DH are going to order some things to try, sooo what's your favourites?

By the way, can someone please tell me what taffy is lol??

3 muskateers is just a milkyway so dont get that lol

When we were in Mexico a Milky Way was just like a Mars, took us a bit by surprise, lol!

Mmmm I'm looking at the baby Ruth and it sounds good! Are Twinkies nice?

I definately wanna try lucky charms, American tv shows always talk about them!!

Mrs.amillian..... I loooove Milky Way! Fancy one now lol!

I've heard Candy co is good as well.

I've tasted a twinkie and was totally unimpressed it tasyed like a cheap cake from the pound shop lol. My OH said they are better v.v.cold

But they do have chocolate covered pretzels, omg they are yum!! My fav <3

I have so many, it's really hard to say which is my favorite!

Captain Crunch Berries and Lucky Charms are always my traditional faves! Followed by Boo Berries and Frankenberries but I don't think they make those anymore. :hissy:

Wow does candy and snacks differ so much from the UK to the US? Lucky Charms are AWESOME btw....they are my favorite cereal. My favorite candy are reese's peanut butter cups...yum. You have to put them in the freezer first for a while though. They are best that in my opinion. Wish i had some now.

Taffy is umm wow hard to explain now that I think about it. Its chewy and can be pulled and stretched sort of like gum but dissolves eventually. Pretty good but it gets stuck in my teeth and kinda hurts if your teeth are sensitive.

Those from the UK I'm interested to know your favorite candy/snacks are?

Ooh I've ordered from American soda!! I got vanilla coke, hot fudge subdae pop tarts, cheetos & these other crisps that are cone shaped (they were lush).

Cx

I stayed in Texas for 4 months in 2008, omg I must of put on about 2 stone no lie lol
I liked anything Reeces, cups, nutrageous, pieces, cereal etc
& butterfingers yum!

Buttterfingers are awesome! Also vanilla Cupcake Pop Tarts!

oh how could i forget butterfingers! theyre my favfavfav.

We love jolly ranchers, m&m cookies, Mountain dew (the proper american one)

Taffy - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taffy_(candy)

Do you live anywhere near Manchester? if so there is a "Olde sweet shoppe" called Mr Simms that sells American sweets as well as old school sweets as well as a stall in The Trafford Centre. It might be cheaper to visit one of these shops than online.

As far as American candy goes it's not fantastic try a Hersheys chocolate bar and if you like that then knock yourself out! my favourites are Nutter Butters and Reeces.

Looks like reeses peanut butter cups are on my list, they seem quite popular!

I love things like maltesers, dairy milk caramel, toffee crisp, boost....most British chocolate really lol! Bit of a chocoholic here :haha:

No I'm living in Wales but I actually found a shop that sells American foods that's about 30 miles away called sweet sensations! Might take a trip there soon!!

I love Starbursts, Skittles, and Hershey's Cookies n Creme!

I'm not American but was over there last month and thought i'd try some of those things you see on tv.... BIG mistake!

Some of the nestle chocolate bars were the same as what we have just had a different name.

peanut buttercups are ok(but you can buy them here) though all the other reese's chocolate is gross and/or bland
baby ruth's tasted like either a snickers or a topic - i can't remember which
Twinkies tastes like cheap sponge with an icky, sickly cream stuff inside
and the worst thing i tasted over there(besides bacon, apple, strawberries and syrup - together) was the tootsie roll! Oh my god, by far the most horrible snack i have ever had this misfortune of putting in my mouth. even my oh who will eat anything took one bite and launched it into the nearest bin. the only way i can really describe the taste is bitter and brown... yes it actually tasted brown...

i brought back lucky charms because it was cheaper than buying them from john lewis
their soft pretzals were nice but anything else was tasted horrible or was the same as what we have here. i will never complain about not liking cadburys again!!

just buy a nice box of thorntons instead!

oh and you can buy hershys choc/kisses etc in asda(not every asda tho) they have a huge range and it's much cheaper than buying from those websites.

I LOVE winegums but thet don't sell them here. :sulk:

You can get reeses pieces, nutrageous and peanut butter cups in most supermarkets :)

I'd recommend Butterfinger, peanut butter twix and Oh Henry!

UK chocolate...everything, really :haha: this week I am mostly into Green & Blacks butterscotch (really good organic chocolate with chips of butterscotch), ripples (very creamy flaking, rippled bar of chocolate), wispa (creamy, bubbled, aerated chocolate) oh, and crunchie...honeycomb covered in milk chocolate.

This list does change according to my craving!
