Amh levels- any advice?

I was wondering if anybody here has completed the Amh test. I called the clinic who gave me a result of 15.11pmol/l but didn't explain it. I can't book an appointment to see the consultant yet- waiting to be called back. But the nurse who told me acted like something was up. I googled and this is borderline low fertility and I'm wondering what this means. Rather distressed and just want answers. So frustrating that it takes my clinic such a long time to call me back to book me in. Any help gratefully received. Thank you.

I didn't want to read and run.

I had my AMH level results back in Christmas which was lower than yours (12 pmol/l) Up until the DR saw my AMH results he was saying 'just wait, you're young' (I'm unexplained and 30) then when he saw this value he became a bit flustered.

He said it wasn't too bad but wasn't great. Its all to do with how many eggs you have left, but not the quality, and you only need one good egg!! I think it also affects the drugs they give you if you go the IVF route, and the amount of eggs they hope to get.

At the time he said if I was his daughter he's highly recommend trying IVF at Christmas by which time we'll have been trying 3 years.

Its a fairly new test but I don't think 15 is too bad it may just take longer. I hope you get some answers when you chat to the consultant.

Thanks Betty. Have you decided what route you want to take? Did your doc (us he a fs) suggest medicated iui? I know someone on another thread who had success with that first time!
