Amount of semen...TMI alert!

My DH has really varying amounts of semen every time we BD. Is this normal? It's always a pretty decent amount, but sometimes its a ton.

I know that the seminal fluid is just fluid and not important, but does more fluid = more sperm?

Also, he seems to have more if we wait a day or two between , it's always a little less when we BD daily. Would this indicate that too much BDing is depleting his count?

it is completely normal..although the amount does have a correlation to sperm count if you look at a Semen Analysis result.

my husband was labeled as "low volume" on a scale of 1-5 recieving a "1" ...he was under pressure to get done because he only had 15 minutes to deposit, in a PUBLIC mens room, and then had to walk around the hallways of the hospital carrying it in the container!

upon retesting he recieved a "4" out of "5" on volume...he was in a private room, with me there to "help" and under no time constraint.

all tests are performed after 3 days of abstinence. so that goes to show you that alot of different factors go into the amount. unless he has been diagnosed with low sperm count or morphology you shouldnt worry about DTD everyday...although it is recommended to only go every other day normally, then everyday during O.

I've gone overboard a little on this first cycle ttc cause I didn't know when I ovulated. But we dtd every other day at the beginning, daily for a long time in the middle, and we're back to every other.
