An Idea For Toddlers That Use A Dummy... (cheap)

Last year every picture I took on christmas day was ruined my Lilly having her dummy in her mouth, so this year I found a group on facebook that sold Gem dummies and baught her two for £11!!! When they arrived they were nice but nothing special so I thought I would give it a go and make my own! I baught 300 gems off ebay for £2 and Gem Tac (non toxic) glue also from ebay. The dummys I made cost me £2-£3 to make and im chuffed with them so thought I would share the idea for anybody else whos LO wont part with their dummy...

The two on the outside are the ones I paid £11 for... and the one in the middle is my first attempt of making myself.

Very pretty, you should try selling those. I bet you would make some money. I particularly like the one with her name on. Those would be popular if you sold them. The child would have to have quite a short name though

They are beautiful. Luckily I've just managed to take my toddler off her dummy, but it is certainly a good idea!

The bottom one is an Avent dummy hun, if you mean the heart one? I had Lilly out in town today and so many people commented.

Lots of people have said sell them but I dont know if there would be enough people interested xx

You could do xmas ones with holly or xmas trees

I might make a couple and show you girls them and see what you think, I think the main reason I dont want to sell like on ebay or something is if somebodys child sat and picket the gems off and then I get the flack for them being 'undurable' lol. Lilly dropped hers in town several times though the other day and not one gem fell off either of them so I dont know :\ lol x

would be good ideas as stocking fillers ect for babys seen as there sooo hard to buy for

Lol i personally wouldnt buy one for a boy, but a friend of mind has just baught two off me for her son. With blue gems though obviously lol x

They certainly make them very pretty!

But yeah be careful as gems could come off, what would hot water/sterilising fluid/steam sterilising do to them. Might be worth testing a few before selling. Just a thought x

Ive just made these today getting a bit obsessed now lol! Ive washed Lillys plenty of times and the gems have been fine, not sure about how they would be in a sterelizer, suppose thats why I wouldnt sell them. Ive made a couple for friends and just added a pound onto what it cost me but thats about it. imagine getting messages off everybody saying their gems had fallen off lol x
