* * This isn't a debate about whether or not dummies are good, just having a moan * *

For a while there I thought "wow, my mum's been pretty good with not telling me how to parent my LO", and I was grateful for that. My LO has had a dummy since birth (pretty much) and we give her it when she's unsettled, but take it away when she's content enough (or at least, we try to remember to take it away). My mum and I just skyped (our main way of communicating, since I live abroad) and she said how my LO "always has a dummy in her mouth". Uhh, no she doesn't. For starters, she never has a dummy in her mouth when we skype, mainly because she's happy enough, and if she's sitting up, she can't keep the dummy in her mouth anyway.

Then she said "well on Facebook she seems to have a dummy in in all the photos" - I had a look on my Facebook - I have 150 photos of LO, and there are 9 photos of her with her dummy in. Then she proceded to tell me about how bad they are, yet I seem to remember seeing photos of us with dummies when we were babies.

Leave me alone, woman!

Moan over :D

In other news; my LO rolled onto her belly for the first time today :) I was greeted this morning by a little panting baby looking out the cot bars at me, on her BELLY! Man, I love this kid :cloud9:

Congrats on your LO rolling over! How exciting! :D

I thought my mom would never be overbearing. Yeah, that didn't last long. I think our moms mean well, but I agree, they should leave us be! Everybody has an opinion. Bleh.
