Angelsounds Jumper Doppler

I got mine in the mail the other day and tried it but couldn't hear the babies heartbeat, just mine! I decided to try again today, but now no sound is coming out at all. The green light is on but nothing coming through the headphones. Does anyone have this doppler and know what the problem could be? I tried different headphones to see if the ones that came with it were broken, but nothing... I hope it's not broken after just one use!

Hi, I have an Angelsounds doppler, you should at least be hearing some whooshing noises. Could it be broken? If you heard your own heartbeat that would indicate not, have you tried listening to yours since you've heard no sounds? Try not to be alarmed, if you aren't hearing anything then that might mean it's damaged in some way-obviously very annoying though! Hope it works for you soon x x x

I think it must be broken already I may try to pick up a new battery tomorrow to see if that works. The light is on, so there's some battery power, but maybe not enough... How frustrating, I waited so long for this to come from Hong Kong and now it's already broken!

That's soo frustrating! I did read that they eat batteries so yes a new battery sounds a good idea! Good Luck x

On my angelsounds I sometimes have to wiggle the headphones about, if theyre too far pushed in to the headphone hole or not far enough it won't work. seems they're very temperamental.

I have the same one and when I first used it (also at about 15 weeks) I was surprised how low down I had to go to hear the hb and also that if you move the doppler even a milimetre it can make the difference between hearing it or not. Maybe you could try moving it really slowly?

Also, sorry if this is really obvious but have you got the volume turned up far enough? There's a round button and I find you need it turned up a fair bit. Hope this helps x

i have one of these (on my second one now) First one stopped working. Must have been using it every day from weeks 20 to 25 then it just stopped working right. Would turn on and hear a noise for about 10 seconds then nothing, it would go dead. I changed the batttery & even took it apart. I ended up buying another one as couldnt be bothered with sending it back (would have done in your case though as you only just got it). I only use mine 1 or 2 a week now as i feel the baby moving alot more at 30 weeks. Hope this helps. x

They eat batterys try and get the best quality one you can and use loads of gel or you wot here anything hun x

I am having trouble with my angelsounds jumper dopper too. It only came in the post on Wednesday. It seems to work for about 30 seconds and then go dead. I have to wait at least an hour for it to work again after that. Needless to say it's going back to the manufacturer today!

With my Angelsounds I couldnt hear anything either. I looked on Youtube and saw that they were using a gel, I went out and bought a massage gel, used it on it and it worked.

Well I just wanted to report that changing the batteries worked! Good quality batteries seem to be the trick with this doppler, for anyone who has trouble in future... I heard my baby's heartbeat today, and even managed to record it on my computer!

Just thought I'd let you know that this happened to me too, I had it 5 days and then it did exactly what you said- there was noise for a few seconds, then it'd go dead yet the green light would be on. I tried using more oil (I use stretch mark oil as anything liquidy works !!), and even tried new headphones like you but it didn't work. My parents eventually popped round to see me and brought me some new batteries, and then it worked !!

The thing is, you should've seen the state of me when it wouldn't work haha ! The instructions say not to bash it or it'll break, and when I was in the car the other day, I had it in a bag on the seat and I smashed onto the floor as we came to a roundabout. I was convinced I'd broken it, and my hormones made me have a sobbing fit ! XD I called OH and was going 'oh my god, I've broken it already ! I've had it 5 days and I've broken it ! How can I look after a tiny baby when I can't even look after a piece of equipment ? Oh my god I'm uselessssss ! :'(' hahahaha. Thinking about it now it's hilarious, but I was in pieces at the time xD !!

Yup ! XD they make me feel like I'm going insane most of the time but I have to admit, when I'm happy they seem to elevate my mood and make me super happy ! Sometimes I use my doppler and nearly cry with happiness ! Especially the other day because I was listening to baby's heartbeat and it got faster when I started talking to them ! I was like 'hello baby, it's your mummy speaking, can you- oh my god ! Oh my god you can hear me ! OH MY GOD !! :'D !!!' Hahaha ! X
