Has anyone used this?

I've been ttc for over 2 years and has done initial blood work but will not refer me to specialist until my bmi is lower. I losing weight but also want to try and do something about my cycles. They are very irregular sometimes 20 days, sometimes 70. Also I do not think I ovulate because I never get a positive ovulation test or spike in temping. GP said they couldn't even test to see if I ovulate with a blood test because my cycles are so irregular.

Anyway so I've read some stuff online about Angus Castus and have bought some but just wondered if anyone here has used it?

Hi mrs mcgregor. I was in the same boat but my gp was very supportive and gave me bloods every 7 days from cd21 til Af arrived for 3 cycles ( I felt like a pin cushion I had that many taken!) all confirmed no ovulation and got referred to a fertility clinic. Now on clinic as diagnosed with one poly cystic ovary. How long til your doc takes it further? i'd be asking for a second opinion or demanding weekly bloods.
As for Angus castus, I tried it for one week and it made me feel so nauseous I had to stop. I also tried soy isoflavones as I read they were "natures clomid"...but bloods confirmed no ov that cycle either so I'm not convinced.
Best of luck and baby dust to you x

thanks for your reply ss83. Wow your GP sounds really good!! Mine is refusing to do anything else until I have a healthy bmi.

ah ok, yeah my bmi is 21 so no issues there. best of luck with losing weight, the clinic did tell us that had one if the biggest effects in fertility so hopefully it'll be worth it. are they not checking for pcos??

My GP actually recommended Agnus Castus (before I was ready to TTC) to help regulate my cycles but it didn't work for me and I have PCOS :( I have heard good things about it though!

I have PCOS and i took vitex and metformin and my cycles regulated to 28 days..
