Callie is 8 months 2 weeks old.. she sits unattended.. and has for a while.. she also gets up on all fours.. and has for about 2 months!! but.. she hasnt started crawling yet.. I know I know that I should just let her be because I know once she starts. she wont stop haha.. Im just wondering when your LOs started crawling and it would be great to hear from some that didnt start until later on.. a friend of mine her baby 2 weeks older then callie is already walking.. its hard to compare!

just a few pics cause she is so darn cute lol

kye started crawling around 6 months n my friends daughter started about 9 months

My LO sat unassisted around 5 1/2-6 months old. He started getting up on all fours when he was around 8 months old, and standing when propped up around 7 1/2 months. He can now pull up to standing, and cruises (just before he turned 9 months). However, it wasn't until today that he started scooting around on the floor (not proper crawling still). He just pulls himself forward with his arms. It works for him, so I am now having to keep a closer eye on him. Some babies just skip the crawling stage altogether and go straight to walking! Hope this helps :)

Ruby started crawling yesterday at 10.5 months! I thought she never would.

My LO has been 'commando' crawling for about 6 weeks now, but not full (up on the kneees) crawling. Not sure he will as he makes very good speed and distance with this method! He gets on all fours and rocks, and pulls himself up to standing etc. and edges along. A lot of poeple who say their babies are crawling do mean the tummy down style and not full crawling, which is why it sounds like their bubs started young. I think motivation plays a big role - we have two cats and most of his crawling involves chasing them!

Reuben sat up unaided, confidantly from 5 months, but he hated lying on his back, and spent a lot of time mastering that sitting position!

However, he had no interest in crawling whatsoever until 9 months, at which point it was backwards for about 3 feet, then to sitting position. He had 2 weeks of comando crawling at 9.5 months, no rocking on all fours, but straight to full on crawling at eactly 10 months. However, although he likes to pull up on furniture, has NO idea what to do with his feet, so i think it will be a while before he walks.

Its true - there is no stopping them, my most used word now seems to be no, as he his crawling towards the catflap, pulling DVD's out of the stand etc!

thank you guys!!! I appreciate the info on your LOs.. She is up on all fours.. and rocking but no crawling yet.. she does push herself backwards on the hardwood... She might go forward but I think its easier to push her rolls rather then pull them:haha:

Emma army crawled at 5 months 1 week and just started full blown crawling yesterday! Callie is adorable as usual hun! I'm so jealous of all that hair. :cloud9:

aww thank you so much emma is a little doll as well, I love her little smiles in the picture!

Theakston started at 7months but according to my baby book I didn't start til after 10months :)

My son still doesnt crawl much (he only moves a foot or two) and he is over a year old. He started sitting up at 6 months and could sit up unaided well by 7 months.

Miss M started crawling last week, at almost 8 months old (after rocking and being on all 4s for ages), but now she prefers to downward dog ;) My friend's LO didn't start crawling until he was 11 months old. I think there is a HUUUUUGE range, and some never crawl. My pediatrician said that it doesn't matter - what matters is that they show a "desire" for mobility - that desire part is actually the milestone, not the crawling...
