Another cramping post!!

Does anyone know where period like cramping comes from? 38 weeks 3 days currently and I feel like I have it every day at some point! It’s like a feeling where if I wasn’t pregnant I’d probably feel like I was going to start my period any second! Has anyone had this before? What does it mean, it’s such a pain! TMI but Also to add I’ve been having loose stools all day , almost like water!

Maybe it’s the start of labor? I went to the bathroom so much at the beginning of my labor. They say it’s your body’s natural way of cleaning you out before so maybe that’s what’s happening with you.
