OMG! I can't quite get my head round this so god knows how you are coping with it hon? What do they expect you to do now? Its just so ridiculous I'm so angry for you. I agree with Serina, you've got to get a second or possibly third opinion from someone who knows what they are bloody well talking about!

omg hun i agree with the ladies i cant believe after all this you are back to square one. definately get another opinion hun i cant understand why they would leave the mass/retained tissue (ugh hate using those words) inside you as it could lead to an infection.

what is the nhs coming to another online friend is going through something similar and shes been fobbed off by her doc and the gynae ward its ridiculous! x

wow not sure what to say so i will send you hugs. i hope you get it sorted. to me and i am no doc but if this long after a m/c you still have hormones then something needs to be done! i was given tablets to help me m/c when the was still a mass did they give you any tablets???

Hi hun. With my first miscarriage, I had retained products and a (severe) infection due to the first d&c. They hadn't removed everything............... They had to do a second surgery to get "everything" out.

Did they not give you an explanation as to why you have retained products of conception inside of you, and how you're expected to get them out?????????? Are they expecting that your body will just naturally do this on its own? I think you've been in enough agony as is, you poor thing. Surely that's not healthy. Why do they treat people this way? Sorry my head is spinning from this. Sending you big hugs hun. So sorry you're going through this.

Today I spoke to a doctor at the London hospital I got referred to about my PMP.

Finally... I have straight answers off someone!

She read me my histology notes & explained everything, she was brill!

My histology report states I may have a possible partial mole, so at this stage, the report is inconclusive.
Until my hospital send the slides up to the london specialist, no one knows what I have, if anything. She said they may never send the slides, lots of hospitals don't. In which case they will just treat me as a partial molar, as it's the most likely scenario.

But, in my case, it's probably irrelevant if it's molar or a normal MC.

She thinks I do have retained products, especially as they only took out a very small amount of tissue during my D&C/ERPC/whatever, but with my hCG now down to 50 (very low), this is not going to be a problem, as my body is getting rid itself.
..Unless my levels get stuck at 50.. then a couple of meth shots should kill off the last tiny bit.
Another D&C is not a good idea in any case, so a good job I didn't have one!


When I prayed for a sticky bean, this is not quite what I had in mind, ha ha


The other issue of bleeding/flooding, is probably not AF or tissue in her opinion & is basically due to my blood vessels not shrinking back yet after pregnancy/molar/MC. It's just a hemorrhage.

My bleeding has stopped again today, but if I have one more flooding episode, they will get me in immediately and fix the 'leak'

So, I now have a firm plan of action in place, whatever happens!

& no more worrying/wondering (well apart from if it really was molar or not!)
