Hi all, my story in a nutshell (or I would waffle all day),

  • 35
  • Was not actively trying but just left things to nature over past 10 years and nowt happened.
  • Last year started thinking about it.
  • Knew instinctively something up as have had gynae problems for about 15 years.
  • Finally diagnosed with PCOS at beginning of year among other minor stuff I already knew about.
  • On 4th cycle of Clomid, about cd19. Levels very good, apparently minimum 30 to ovulate, mine are between 160-190!
  • Use an OPK this cycle and it was positive day 12, my cycles regulated now to 33days on Clomid.
  • Have had cramps and spotting past 2 days, stomach distended and bloated. Not had this in first 3 cycles so bit confused - just side effects of Clomid, symptoms of OHSS, other?
I go for my 21 day test tomorrow as cd21 is Saturday and can't remember if the test also checks other levels? Should I mention this when there? Can anybody advise?

Only major side effect I've been having on Clomid is that I'm major hormonal! I'm naturally an emotional person and am currently drinking rescue remedy to keep me sane as so sensitive!

Lol Welcome to BNB. I can relate on the hormonal side of things, I'm also on a cycle of Clomid - about cycle number 12 really (on and off)

Although I have to admit, the spotting isn't something I get. So perhaps we can look at it as a good sign? You would be right about implantation if you O'd on CD12.

Do you chart your cycles? Like take temp's? That's always a big eye opener as to what you cycle is doing in the second half.

I would mention the spotting, they will probably brush it off, as most nurses/gyno's do (Welcome to Gyno hell!)

But fingers crossed it brings some good news.

Hi and welcome!!

can't offer you any advice on clomid, sorry! Just wanted to say hi!

Hi, thanks for replying. I don't chart my cycles as have never had regular ones, only ever took note of when I got an AF as they were so erradic and gave up on them. I actually didnt have any for nearly 9 years so I'm still trying to get the hang of having a sort-of half-normal body gynae ways again. I think I will now though with your advice and as my cycles have regulated with the clomid and it may help a lot.

And yes gynae hell it is, I've been attending gynae for about 15 years on and off. Nurse butchered me this morning and missed vein twice so after cracking up and the senior nurse coming in I knew mentioning it was a waste of time! I did anyway and of course it was brushed off.

Like e1 trying not to get my hopes up analysing what the cramps and spotting are and am trying to convince myself its just a sde effect from the Clomid, even though I didnt have it frst 3 cycles. Maybe then if anything has happened it'll be a nice surprise!
