Another name..

Husband and I are a little obsessed with names. We think of, hear, or see names and we talk about them with our last name. We like to talk about our future children's names.

Today his Nana (who is in the hospital after open heart surgery 2 Friday's ago) was telling us about her brother's daughter. She said he asked her to pick a name for her. Her brother's name was Neal and she made up the name Nealy [pronounced Nee-lee] for his daughter. Nealy only lived a few days before passing away. She was Uncle's only birth child. He had step children but only her of his own.

She told us this story and DH and I both looked at each other with this look. A look, like, that will be a name we pass on. To honor Uncle "Buddy", little Nealy, and Nana.

I love the name and the meaning would be so wonderful. I know the family (living and passed) will appreciate that.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Thank you both! I am so excited to have finally agreed on a name. I'll say one and he will say 'eh'. Then he will say one and I laugh at him because they are always too silly. lol

I keep telling people that this hospital stay (with his Nana) has truly been a blessing in disguise for us. This is just another reason!

We both love Bennett for a boy and hubby is obsessed with football. I was flipping through Pottery Barn for Kids catalog the other day and their was a whole football room personalized with the name Bennett.

So I think we've picked a boy and girl name now.

Now, if only we could get a bun in the oven to give one of these names too.
