Baby Kiara was born three weeks ago by emergency c section. I say emergency c section since that is what appeared on the doctors bill though she was scheduled for the 1 feb but decided to come just over a week earlier. Impatient madam. But it was calm like a scheduled section, no real urgency except that my waters had broken at home.

It was a great section and recovery has been great, up walking a few steps after 6 hours and shoering alone after 24. 9 days later I was walking round the museum with the baby and my other two children.

I have had 3 very positive and enjoyable sections now, they were the best days of my life. So if you have a section scheduled and are nervous don't be - it will be an amazing day!

Mine was positive as well...couldn't have asked for a better experience. 4 days later I was out grocery shopping although walking slowly! :)

Mine was fab too - I'd do it a million times over rather than one vaginal delivery!xx

I'm having my elective c-section in three days... and i am trying not to think about it! i will be so nervous on the day though... im very thankful we have to be there for 07:30am, as my cousin's c-section wasnt scheduled until 3pm in the afternoon she had to wait all day long! xx

mine was very positive too mine was nearly 20 months ago, i was up and walking within 2 days :)

Try asked me to try and walk after 6 hours. It was a bit painful but ok. The earlier the better I say. I think that's why my recovery was so good.
Good luck Kimberley!

I'll be jumping off that bed the first chance i get, i go into hospital for my c-section friday morning at 07:30am and luckily if there are no emergency c-sections, i'll have him before 12 noon so friday will count as my first day in hospital :D im praying they let me home on sunday morning so i will be moving as much as i possibly can to show them i am fit and well! my dad is under the impression i will get away on saturday night haha, i wish! i would so much rather be in my own bed in the comfort of my own home :baby:

The only thing that I missed when I checked out of hospital was being able to ask the midwives to take baby in the night for an hour if I hadn't slept. Don't be in too much of a hurry...use those perks.! Especially since you already have a child.
My baby was born at 8.30 on thursday. My surgeon counted Fiday as the first recovery day :(... X
It was baby's recovery that determined when I could leave hospital, I was clearly fine. It was just being sure that baby was feeding and gaining weight etc that was more tricky. I came home on the Monday. S was in 4 nights.
