He was on a secret visit to Australia and came to the place I was staying when I was 16, said he was looking around at the pub district and was thinking of buying a house on the beach there (pretty big touristy spot), We talked for a bit and I pecked him goodbye. Top bloke.

Not really, no, for some people yes, but the religious origins of it are pretty much well-known I'd say.
