Antibiotics and a yeast infection?

I'm on antibiotics for an ear infection and still have a few days left to go on it. I've developed a yeast infection about three days ago but just really realized that's what it is today, so I bought Monistat. I'm just wondering if it will make a difference since I'm still on the antibiotic?
