Antibiotics

Hello

So I have apparently a blocked duct that's infected so Dr gave me antibio (she knows preg and checked if safe which they are) but I'm still nervous of taking them

In last preg never took any so think why worried but also think could be preg hormones making me paranoid!

Anyone else feel worried if need to take antibio in first tri?...

I understand not wanting to take unnecessary meds while pg, but mastitis is nothing to mess around with. Untreated, it can lead quickly to a breast abcess and/or systemic infection, both of which would be WAY more harmful to the baby than an antibiotic that is approved for use during pregnancy.

Feel better soon. Infected ducts are horrible. In addition to the antibiotic to clear the infection, I always found hot compresses and massage helped loosen the blockage.
