My dentist prescribed me amoxicillin for a tooth absess...does anyone know if i can take tylenol with it? I want to be sure they dont interact with each other before I take it

Tylenol doesn't interact with any antibiotic

Talk to a pharmacist. They know WAY more than even doctors when it comes to medication!!

It's fine to take them together. I took both together for the same reason a few years back, and it was actually recommended by the dentist to deal with the pain. So you've got my sympathy as I can too easily recall the pain of the absess.

well I went and had a deep filling and he told me I may have problems out of it...sure enough a few days later it started so I called him and he prescribed me the medicine...I didn't need the Tylenol yesterday as the pain didn't get to bad...its still there some but if meds don't work by Monday I guess I will have to fork out MORE money to go get the tooth extracted!
