First of all I would like to say hello to everyone x I joined a few days ago and have been wondering where to start lol I am 28 yrs old, i am married to a wonderful man and i live in the west midlands uk. i have not had a period in ten years the only way i have a slight bleed is via
taking thisterone. i was refused ivf due to been obese. I had 3 rounds of clomid and then told i was clomid resistant my current medication is exenatide twice a day and 2000mg metformin. i have epilepsey and i am diabetic with pcos all the symptons in tow aswell as the pcos on ovaries on left and right and insulin resistance.
egg donation has been mentioned but i was wondering if femara was worth a shot before i go onto egg donation. may i add i am lttc it has been 9 yrs now with not one bfp. i am on a low gi diet and i swim 3 times a week aswell as waliking and working as a student nurse. i do not have anyone to talk about these issuses with as all i ever get is it will happen or go on holiday and it will work. sorry for rambling but just thought i would start with all my cards on the table lol its just feels a little better to be able to get it all of my chest sorry for unraveling a little

if anyone in same situation that could offer some advice I would be very grateful xxxx

Wow, good for you with the diet and the exercise. Are they not giving you anything/operations to get your PCOS sorted?? I don't have PCOS, I have endo, but I thought there would have been some ops they could do.

I am on Femara, I see a private doc in Dublin for it (based UK mainland). I had one consultation and then the follow ups are done over telephone. I know some private fertility clinics in Scotland prescribe it as it's other name is Letrozole. However, I can't comment on whether or not they would prescribe the drug without other treatments (IVF, IUI etc).

thank you very much for your reply to my threadxxxx in regards to operation i had ovarian drilling done and it didnt make any difference. lazer treatment was disscussed also but they said they wanted to wait until my seizures are under control as i have tonic clonic seizures ( grand mal ). also they want me to loose the weight first before having this done and then in the second breath my endo said if you loose all the weight then you may aswell go straight in for ivf - egg donation as it has been too many years faffing around with different gps and endos my current endrocrologist is brilliant in one sense she just wants what best for me and everything i have gone to her with she has let me try it. she was saying egg donation as she knows how much i have tried with everything and wants me to get the results that me and hubby want. i am probally not making any sense lol

Wow, what a lot of things you have tried!!

We're giving a few things a go (I am quite hopeful of natural BFP though). If it comes to Oct/Nov of this year and we're in the same position I want to do IVF. We would need to be quick with it though as they only way we could afford it is for me to donate my eggs, to a lovely lady like yourself. I haven't had the AMH test done and I'm not giving myself that worry until I need to. Its nice to hear the kinda person I may end up helping though.

Bodies can be strange though, you may get your BFP when you least expect it. Good luck xx

awww that is a lovley thing to do if you end up going down that route i applaud you for considering to share such precious things. :hugs:

I hope you get your bfp naturally and dont have to go through ivf. sending you lots of baby dust.. this is what my hubby has said that may never now my body may surprise us one day lol :haha:

i have an appointment with gp tommorow to discuss a few things further may try to ovarian drilling again as it was few yrs back that i had this done:thumbup:. but it is people like you and others on sites like this that keep us going and trying as there is always hope even when it seems like its the end of the world xxxxxxx:hugs:

Can't really be any use but welcome to BnB xx
