My lo had a few great days of bath in the eve, milk at 11 & then sleeping until 3am then a bottle & then back to sleep til 6am.. However she won't settle now after that 3am feed and gets overtired and upset when she will then be exhausted and falls asleep at 5am. This then means she has a poor sleep as she is soon hungry again :( it also means poor hubby is shattered when he has to be up at 530am!

I don't really know what to change or try to get her to settle quickly again after that feed. I do the whole no chatting, dark room thing but nothing seems to work at the minute.

Anyone any advice?

my son is ten weeks and has been exactly the same for the last week, any advice would be greatly appreciated xx

I would definitely carry on with what you are doing, make it very unexciting to be awake. Does she have a dummy? Do you swaddle?

I don't swaddle anymore as she doesn't like her arms restricted and she gets all annoyed! She does have a dummy for sleeping but won't have it after that feed? She spits it out the little tinker!!

Has she definitely had enough to eat in that feed? She's not still hungry?

My boy used to be unsettled between his midnight and 3am feed. He grew out of it I think. I just used to leave him in his basket and keep popping his dummy back in.

Yeh, I always make more up in that feed than she normally drinks & I try & offer her the last bit & she never drinks it. She will just keep pushing it away from her mouth.

Oliver always has more wind at that feed so can take a lot longer to settle, she isnt bringing her knees up or anything is she?

Could you swaddle, and leave one arm out. Also check out the reviews on prince lionheart slumber bear, Millie is settled within 60 seconds of this going off and sleeps 8-10 hours a night.

There was a thread in baby club about them.

We use the slumber bear and turn it on to Womb Sounds mode and he seems to go off, you could try that. Now my LO is 7 weeks old - at that feed he always tries to smile at me, which is very cute but I try not to make eye contact!

I found this with LO so started giving infacol before each night feed and now he's straight off to sleep trumping away.

aw I have this problem too, we have tried everything its so tiring, Ellie is 10weeks today but corrected age is 4 weeks so the health visitor says treat her like a 4 week old and demand feed x
