Hi girlies,

I've just left the first trimester forum to the misscarriage forum :hissy: after having my third m/c over the weekend.

After my 2nd m/c the consultant agreed to do some tests for genetic and some blood testing for me, ie sticky blood extra. I am due to see him for the follow up on the 11th February. Now when I fell pregnant in December he called to say all is okay with the genes and my other bloods, I was just to take baby asprin.

Well it happened again over the weekend so my appointment with him is still in his diary. Does anyone know what's next, the bloods are fine! so what's the next stage of the process? Also, if you are getting IVF how long is the process from start to finish?

I'm sorry to hear.

IVF takes about 6 weeks to get prepared for. Then, they do the collection and transfer. Then within a month or so they transfer you to your GP.

depends where u live.. in my area normal IVF waiting list is 2 years.. on the specialist list for ppl with genetics problems is 6 months,

are u sure he did the full genetic tests.. coz u should have had a follow up with a dr that majors in genetics and multiple m/cs.

I think so, he said all the genetics were fine, so no need to see a genetic counsellour??????? It will be clearer when I go as this is my follow up appointment, just so happened I fell pregnant again in between, things against me are:

Age (I'm thirty eight)
No Thryoid

We can conceive and they say that's half the battle but for some reason things go wrong.

Thanks for this and atleast I don't have long to wait.

Is IVF a solution since you can conceive? Have you done any heparin injections or progesterone support during the 1st trimester?

I beleive so even though I can fall pregnant there is obviously something wrong with the embryo hence the misscarriages. It's called ICSI, Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection.

Nope, they advised that from the bloods taken in November as I was to take was baby asprin.
